Glass Panelled Wardrobe - What To Put In The Panels?

I moved into my home over 20 years ago, and have now decided that it is time to 'do something' with the glass panels in my wardrobe door!
The bedroom was fitted by Sharps, and the wardrobe is oak with glass panels in the top half of both of the wardrobe doors. The panels are glass, not mirrors, so at the moment you can see into the wardrobe when the doors are closed. On the inside of the doors are wires going across the doors at the top and bottom, where you can put in your own choice of fabric.
My questions are 1) Can you buy these fabrics ready made? I think it would just be material with the ends folded over and sewn so that you could put the wire through it. I have never seen any, but have never looked and I don't really know what to search for. 2) If you can't buy them ready made, what size of fabric do you buy? Is it best to buy so that the fabric is taut, or do you buy more so that the effect is ruched when hung up?
I hope the above is clear, and thanks for any help!

I expect you could pay somebody to do it but it should be easy enough to do yourself. You would need to gather it up, so would need panels about twice the width of the space you need to fill, and about 6cm longer, in a fairly lightweight fabric (or even a very lightweight fabric, like a muslin).

It's just a hem top and bottom. You could do it in a few minutes with a sewing machine, or pin it to size and sew by hand.
