Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in silence, in my kitchen spot. The cats have been fed & gone back to bed - girl cat will mosy likely be with dd1, boy cat on my blanket 😊.

My plan is for a steady, moochy, kind of day today. With a roast for tea, at dd1's request.

I'll sort my tablets for the mornings in a minute, pop the washer on, scoop the litter box, then prep tea. The rest of the day, I'll see if either of the girls wants to do anything, and if not, spend a little bit of time with my Christmas lists and a few hours catching up with peg doll painting & considering whether offering to paint festive ones for work is a good idea or not 🤔.

I'll cook the roast early-ish so dd1 has time afterwards to make sure she's all packed and ready to leave for her train in plenty of time. Handily, the station's only ten minutes or so away.

After seeing dd off, I'll have my usual Self-care Sunday scrubby everything shower & sit down with my book for an hour or so until she messages that she's safely back to her uni accommodation in Wembley. Then I'll head to bed, ready for the week ahead 💤.

I had a lovely moochy morning by myself. Costa, Sainsbury’s and a proper look around Costco so managed to get enchiladas and toffee cake for dinner (can not wait!!!) now im back home in PJs about to have another coffee.

Defrosted the FF yesterday which is such a hateful job, I'm still traumatised 😫🤣

Morning everyone!

Got up handy and washed my hair so just drying it. DS is off to his friend’s 10th birthday party so me and DH will hang around there for a couple of hours. Need to buy some housebound bits on the way home.

Doing a roast chicken later but not a roast as such. Me and DH will have carrots and mini potatoes done in the air fryer and DS will have rice. Then relax later with a film and possibly I’m a Celeb tonight

I had a great night’s sleep for once and woke up feeling very cosy under the new brushed cotton duvet set and sheet that I put on yesterday. So enjoyed a comfy lie in with plenty of cuddles from two of the cats.

I rarely eat breakfast as just never fancy it. Am looking forward to my lunch, treated myself to an M&S Best Ever Prawn Sandwich when I went shopping on Friday.

This afternoon will be pottering/tidying. Got a couple of loads of washing to do, clean the kitchen, clean the log cabin especially the floor as lots of muddy little footprints from my third cat, sweep up the remaining leaves from new patio and I need to pop to the local shop for some guacamole as I forgot to buy some when shopping on Friday.

Will then have my usual weekly catch-up call with my sister at 17:30. Followed by chicken fajitas for dinner and a couple more episodes of Dexter. Will have a fairly early night ready for the guy arriving tomorrow morning to continue putting up my new fencing - it’s 54 panels in total, I think we’ve got 21 left to do. Can’t wait until it’s all finished.

Dh and I have just got back from a long walk with a coffee stop in the middle.

Ds2 is still in bed, ill with a horrible
flu-ey virus.

We're cutting back the laurels in the garden today, having beef pie for dinner and planning to do a bit of online Christmas shopping and holiday browsing this afternoon. Also need to talk to ds1 about his birthday plans when he's home next weekend.

Hi everyone.

I've just given the kitchen and hallway floors a long-overdue scrub! After a few days of walking in with wet feet, they needed doing, especially as I'd put the job off for a couple of weeks!
About to go and prep sandwiches for the freezer for the next week or so of packed lunches. It's just something I've always done, and means I don't have to keep getting all the sandwich stuff out every day. We just grab a sandwich from the freezer and it's good to go by lunchtime.
Then I'm going to go and give each bathroom a quick mop and wipe down. The bins need emptying and the toilet rim things need replacing.
Finally I'll print off the stuff I need for private tutoring this week... Although I might actually do that first, as it's easier to look things up on the laptop, which I'm on now, than do it on my phone.

None of those jobs should take too long, so I'll bash them out and then have a later lunch.

I quite fancy watching a film this afternoon, so that'll be something to aim for.

Feeling sorry for myself on the sofa with period cramps. Ive just had a warm hot cross bun and a cup of tea. Im under the heated blanket.
DP is preparing lunch and tonight we are all going out to celebrate oldest DC’s birthday! 🎂
planning to do zero efforts today (apart from tonight and a phone call to my parents) although i might have to help DC3 with their french homework….

Good morning lucysmam and to u all . I’m late today been a busy bee this morning cleaned rite thru and dinner bubbling away now . We are having beef today and got 3 sons and 1 daughter today . No grandson as he’s with his dad il miss him he’s nearly 6 and so funny and a tiny bit cheeky now . Tonite is strictly and then the jungle with Mayb a wine or 2 . Have a great and safe day all 🫶
