I'm married; we are both Caucasian with no heritage that either of us are aware with outside the British Isles.

DC1,2,3 and 4 totally standard Caucasian babies.

DC 5 was born. They are not. Olive skin and brown eyes. To the extent the midwife asked me about it.

My mum said to me when DH out often room "Darling, are you sure he is DH's son?

DC is 11 now, has a constant dark tan and in the summer you certainly would not assume he is Caucasian. His facial structure is also slightly different a around the eyes and he is sometimes assumed to be of dual heritage.

In guessing this is just a genetic glitch from a GGGGGmother... but had it happened to anyone else please?

I also was faithful to DH!!!

It happens. Genetics is complex. My grand father's and grandmother's family were all tall. They had 5 tiny children and just one tall. They were baffled until my father's eldest sister (who had emigrated 20 + years before when gf was a baby ) came back to visit in her 70s. She took was v small and the missing link. I also had a friend with 2 v tall sons. Both parents were small (and baffled!).

I am Asian. DH is Asian. Both dark skinned and dark eyed.

DD is very light skinned- almost light eyed- and can pass for European or Latina. Quirk of genetics.

Dh and l are both olive skinned.

Did as fair as a lily. She looks like both of us, just a different colour!

I have blonde hair and blue eyes and very curly hair and pale skin - often mistaken for a German or a Scandinavian when on holiday in Europe.
My brother is grey eyed and very dark skinned. He was mistaken for an Egyptian by an Egyptian when on holiday there.
Same parents, and no doubting parentage due to our resemblance to grandparents.

My mum has very dark skin and dark hair with tight curls.

Her whole family appears white, and her family tree going back centuries is English. But several generations spent generations in the Caribbean so we all assumed that she’s picked up some black genes somewhere.

But an Ancestry test suggested she was 100% British, so who knows?

Me and my sister (same parents) are 5'1 and I'm 5'11.
