I open every email in my Inbox and check (but not necessarily open) all those in my Spam folder (I generally only get a spam email once a day or less).
When I was working I opened every email (we didn't get spam as we were behind a very sophisticated firewall) and kept my Inbox manageable by filing everything (30-50 emails a day).
I had colleagues with thousands of unopened emails (they would preview the email which showed it as unread - could not get my head around that one🤔).
Electronically, I am a tidy person.😆
As I was working my way towards retirement I started to clear out my old, filed emails and of course, reading some. They went back over 20yrs and it really brought back some memories.
