Walk me through getting an MOT

First car due its MOT in about a month

Slightly older car - 2015 , bought off an elderly relative last year has less than 40k miles - has always passed MOT and I haven't noticed any issues since I have been driving it.

Please walk me through getting an MOT like I am an alien - what do I need to do and what should I expect.

Nah, it can't be that bad!

It was awful! They’d say things like “put on your hazard lights” and “open your bonnet” and you’d immediately lose all motor skills and hit everything. There’d be lights and wipers going, horns blasting, radio playing, and window water squishers squishing. The guys were probably very relieved to just be able to do it themselves 😂

Yes! I remember getting flustered trying (and failing) to open the bonnet and the bloke getting really cross with me!
