It’s an adapted car post - Motability (sort of related)

I’m asking for information re adaptations to cars… well WAVs in particular as DC needs a wheelchair accessible car.
I don’t want to use Motability (again) unless I have no other choice.
Does anyone have experience of someone having a vehicle that’s adapted to facilitate changing ie like a changing table?
I can find one company that does camper van type vehicles with various adaptations but there’s a lot of unnecessary stuff included that I wouldn’t want or need. Plus I’d rather not try to drive a mobile home/camper van around.
When I look at WAVs - they appear usually as available via Motability only or as ex Motability to purchase ..
Just wondering if there’s knowledge out there that I don’t have (Im
more interested in purchasing than leasing but I’ll do whatever is best).

You mean like a changing places adult style changing with a hoist?

i can’t se that being anything other than a van.

many of the wavs are small suvs with a ramp at the back to get a wheelchair in. No space for anyone to lie flat.

you can get people who adapt standard vehicles - my xc90 will get a hoist at some point - but it’s car dependent and you need to talk to the person who does it.

Thanks for replying - yes that’s pretty much what I mean - my DD is doubly incontinent so I’m trying to weigh up whether it’s best to carry on with the type of WAV we have (Peugeot Rifter) or something different and just keep limiting what we do to places I can change her - except even now every time I lift her off the ground I injure myself.
