Has anyone finished their Chrismas shopping?

I cannot be doing with shopping when it is busy. I also need to budget and so spread out the shopping. I give siblings cash, so money wallets are all that I need. We don't do adults in my family. So it is all about the big wow from Santa. I have been keeping a list of things my dc want, so it is easy to rattle through those.

I need one Liverpool strip and stocking things for dh, then done.

Don’t people worry things can’t be changed if you go too early and they aren’t quite right eg size etc…

This gets less as the children get older, my DSC are 18 & 16 they aren’t changing size in the next 6 weeks so is a safe bet, I know what sizes they wear in the brands they like so it’s okay (although I have got gift receipts from Hollister.. will be store credit so that’s fine) again family presents they are older so coming up with something in July is still safe

MadeOneMistakeGotBurnedAtTheStake · 09/11/2025 21:56

I’ve got one more thing to buy and then technically I’ve finished all mine. Then I will make a start on my mum’s, she’s elderly and can’t easily do the Christmas shopping herself so the last few years I’ve helped her out.

Rocknrollstar · 09/11/2025 21:56

Done and dusted. All wrapped. Sister asked what we all wanted so I have chosen presents for me, DH and DD as well.

sandwichcat · 10/11/2025 00:25

Oh my goodness! I started in January of last year so I wouldn’t have to worry now (I am chronically late)… and I’ve misplaced most of the gifts haha! Luckily they were small things but I won’t do that again. I don’t know how people can properly plan and organize for Christmas!

caringcarer · 10/11/2025 02:20

I'm still buying stuff for stockings over half way now but have bought main gift for 3 out of 8 adults. I'm on holiday next week for 8 days so got started earlier than usual this year. I have bought wrapping paper and a few cards though.

DinoLil · 10/11/2025 02:35

Done and delivered last weekend along with four family member's birthdays.

That's Christmas done for me.

Topseyt123 · 10/11/2025 02:52

I've barely started, but will crack on with it over the next two or three weeks.

Mikart · 10/11/2025 05:32

Yes but I only buy for dh and adult dd. Dh buys for his gc. ( but hasn't yet)
I'll be wrapping today.

redwinekeepsyousane · 10/11/2025 05:49

Finally I’ve met my people! Have got 80% of the way through and would like that wrapped by the end of the week. Then just immediate family to go. DD’s both just had birthdays so I do theirs last. I love Xmas but it if I don’t get organised I hate it because work will burn me out between now and 25th Dec and I will end up wrapping things in a hurry and feeling stressed. This way I can enjoy the process. Well done to everyone who has moved onto food already. I’ll be making the Xmas gravy this week but otherwise haven’t thought about that side of things yet.

Cadenza12 · 10/11/2025 05:52

Yes. I am contemplating wrapping.

Yes. I am contemplating wrapping.

I am too! We once left it until Christmas Eve. Never again! 😩

ShiftySquirrel · 10/11/2025 08:04

Nearly.
Teens, DH, DM and friends kids sorted. Just Dad, Bro and SIL to buy for.

MamaBobo · 10/11/2025 08:18

Mine is all done and wrapped, bar something for one person. We are away from then end of November until the 21st December so I decided to do it before we go. The meat is all bought and in the freezer, we’ll bring some treats and wine home from our trip and that will leave just the fresh fruit and veg to get when we come back.

We’ve even decided to put the tree up before we leave. This goes against the grain as we usually put the tree up a few days before Christmas and leave it until 12th night or thereabouts but it means we will come home to a lovely festive house, all prepared and no stress. Unlike last year….which is why I’m more organised this year!

Gettingbysomehow · 10/11/2025 08:19

Hahahaha I haven't even thought about it yet.

Treeforme · 10/11/2025 23:47

ive barely got anything yet!
