Good Morning All! What are you all up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, after a bit of a lie in snuggled up with boy cat 😊. They've both been fed & probably gone back to bed with dd1 since she's back for the weekend again.

The washer's on with school shirts and I've run some water to wash up - I'll shift and do that once I've drunk my brew. Then I'll tidy my corner of the table - I've got lots of things in a pile, and peg dolls all drawn up ready to paint. I'll put the things where they go & dolls in the "in progress" box for the moment.

Dd2's up! She needs to tidy her bedroom today, and revise for mocks next week. She also has a proper exam to prep for - I'm not sure if that's on Tuesday 🤔...must double check!

I'm off to see Role Model in Leeds with dd1 - she's decided she wants to queue, even though there's very slim chance of a barricade or front few rows spot <sigh>. So, my plans are to get a number & sit with a refillable coffee, in Spoons, in Leeds while she sits on the streets with the other queue-ers 🤣. Might even treat myself to a glass of wine!

Tea tonight for us will either be Spoons food (again - we were at a gig & called into one in Sheffield to eat), or Wingstop. Dd2 & their dad will get some sort of takeaway - probably pizza or kebab.

We'll be in late, so it'll be straight to bed for me! The girls will probably chat in dd1's room for a while after I'm asleep 😊.

Im back in bed with my second cuppa and some toast and biscuits. The washing machine in on and will get hung later. Dh sleeping away, I envy a man's ability to sleep

So far I've had a lie-in, then sat in bed drinking a cup of tea.

Been out to Sainsburys and bought a pizza for tonight and a steak pie for tomorrow. Toyed with the idea of actually making a steak pie from scratch and then thought sod it, I can't be arsed!

I'm now drinking coffee, reading the newspaper and catching up on MN. DH has gone for a walk and will be back for lunch. Scotch eggs today - we've not had them for ages.

Later on I have the prospect of cleaning out my car, the inside of which is in a right mess and resembles a skip at the moment. Weather is nice though, and quite warm when the sun is out.

Good morning everyone, it’s a beautiful sunny day here after a very misty start, it was so atmospheric walking the dogs on the common, real Hounds of the Baskerville stuff! You could see the sun coming up behind the trees, rays breaking through in places then the fog would roll in again.
The dogs didn’t mind, it was very muddy and slippery underfoot.
I have spent an hour heavily pruning the roses, there’s a bunch of the last rosebuds on the side, it looks a bit tidier now. I honestly haven’t done any gardening for weeks now, I find it very hard work as I get breathless quickly. Hoping I can do a bit at a time but everything is so sodden, the lawn squelches!
Both dogs are sound asleep, ZDog2 is snoring, DH is dozing too.
Fish and chips from the freezer for dinner, peas and tartare sauce. There’s some bread and butter pudding left from yesterday for pudding.

I haven’t read everyone yet but just saw yours @glimmer69 , I’m so sorry for your loss, that’s really sad 🤗.

I might do something arty today, the oomph is lacking!

I got up early to drop my dd14 off in town where she's going to be poppy selling with the army cadets.

I am currently procrastinating because my house looks like a tip and I don't want to clean it.

I'm going out for lunch with a couple of friends later and we haven't been out for ages so there's a lot of catching up to do.

The sun outside is beautiful so it made me clean the windows in the kitchen before I even got out of my pyjamas! Girding myself for having to give some bad news of an unexpected family bereavement to my DC. They will be devastated so I’m putting it off until their homework is done. It seems to have started me on a house cleaning frenzy - an attempt to find order on one of those days when we realise normal simple life needs cherishing.

@glimmer69 I am so sorry for your loss. I don't even want to imagine losing Mr Dilemma and you have my most heartfelt sympathy and best wishes.

Good morning all, I’ve been away with work for some of reason week so I’m in London at the moment. I don’t fly home until tomorrow so I’m meeting friends for lunch and then we’re going to the theatre to see Clarkston, its had fairly decent reviews. If we have the energy we’ll go out for a few drinks afterwards .

Daughter was sick this morning so we’re both snuggled in the big bed watching telly. 😊

I got up early and went for a consultation and patch test at the hairdresser. I’m considering cutting and colouring my very long undyed hair and I’m excited but nervous!

Then dragged DH out of bed and we went for a dog walk and to Pets at Home to stock up on food for all the critters.

Now I am waiting for DH to get out of the shower so I can get in. We are going for lunch in a nice restaurant with DH’s parents, siblings and some other relatives. It’s the restaurant we went to after our legal wedding ceremony so we are very fond of it.

Not sure about after! Might get in my very un-Mumsnetty hot tub for a soak. And a good film tonight. Probably have something simple like omelettes for tea.

Bit of a slow start today. I'm currently sitting in a sliver of sunshine having toast and coffee. DS made us all omelettes this morning which were delicious but very small! He and DH are away to get the week's shop and will probably drop in at the second hand shops on the way back.

I'm feeling a bit up and down today. I've been suffering from chronic headaches for months and haven't managed to get to the bottom of the cause but stress probably has a lot to do with it. So I've been signed off work for 2 weeks and ordered to rest. I'm not so good at this! I spent yesterday doing all the handover stuff for work then slept for 11 hours. Today, I'm going to look out some simple craft projects and pick a couple of TV series to watch. No chores! Well, maybe some laundry. I might have to watch the big lebowski tonight, to help me channel my inner dude! Feels very strange, being forced to relax.

Dinner is an enormous ham which is bubbling away in the slow cooker, mash, cauliflower cheese and cabbage. Yum!

Second breakfast done. I've picked up a Christmas present for a friend and nipped to Aldi for bread and milk. Now having a lie down to rest my dodgy leg

Having a very lazy day. DD was out last night at her friends memorial and rang me at 1am all upset. Cue driving 2 hour round trip to go and fetch her home. I haven't seen her in a month as she recently moved away for a new job and her friends death has hit her so hard. We are going to have a day in front of the TV eating her fave snacks with plenty of hugs and wiping tears away.

I have flu I think - got felled by it really quickly on Wednesday night. Slept most of Thursday. Now at the full of cold stage and feeling weak if I do anything. Awake off and on coughing in the night. And now DH feels shivery…..

He put some washing on earlier so I’ll try to hang it up in a bit.

Plans for the day involve lying on the sofa reading I think.

I hope it looks beautiful in her honour. May you have many comfortable showers in it

I went to a colleague's leaving do last night. It was a great night and I caught up with lots of former colleagues who have retired or moved on to other companies. However, I'm a bit hungover today. Trying to motivate myself to head to Tesco and then blitz the kitchen. But maybe another cuppa first......

Dinner will be turkey burgers from the butcher's. Quick and tasty.

I need to think about Christmas too. Start making lists and all of that.

I rolled out of bed at 11.30.
Had a shower and I'm going to spend the whole day binging on-line.

I've had a lovely pottering type day. I had a lovely long lay in, built a garden bench, moved a plant in the garden, repotted some house plants, swept up some leaves (although not all as i figured mr hedgehog probably likes them for finding bugs in) and then had a cuppa and hot choc on said new bench with my dd. Dh is making home made pizzas for tea.

Evening all! Very late to the party! Had a full on day, including another mental shift at work. So so busy! Then straight to DM’s to sit with her & DF whilst DBro had a break & went for a walk. He’s down for a couple of weeks to help care for them. Had a cuppa & ginger nuts which was very welcome as all I’ve eaten today was some salt & black pepper cashews. Tea will be kievs, jacket spuds & peas. DH & I are just having an AF Peroni whilst watching Strictly.

I have had a lovely day. My birthday lunch and cake, prepared by Mr Dilemma, were delicious and it was wonderful to have DD1 and her family there. They left around 3pm and we attempted to watch a film on the television before giving up and going for a nap.

We got up not long ago and now have the film on again. Neither of us are feeling hungry yet, but eventually we will raid the fridge for something to eat.

This is the ring Mr Dilemma gave me for my birthday - I'm wearing it above my wedding ring at the moment but I'm working on losing weight and will wear it on another finger when my fingers get thinner.

We were out yesterday night and went to a castle, had a meal and drinks with a band.

Today we finished moving DSs chest of drawers and put all his new clothes in it and unpacked his new shoes. I cleaned upstairs floors. Then DH and I went to do some gardening with the silkies and I raked all the leaves up well most of them. Then I cleaned the kitchen and corridor whilst DH sorted the dining room.

Had Caerphilly cheese pear and crackers for lunch. Now about to have a cheeseburger and onion rings from the local pub van. DH is fetching them.
