Is there such a thing for shoelaces?

DD has a a huge fear of shoelaces getting caught in escalators, it happened to her when she was about 8 (11 years ago) and she has struggled since!

She ties her laces anyway but before getting on will retie and tuck as much in as she can. She can’t avoid escalators forever and will find herself in situations where she won’t be able to do the lace check and take her time like she does now, so I was looking for something that could potentially tidy the excess lace?

She does have ASC which may explain why she is still so worried about it.

Sketchers do trainers which are elastic. There are no ends. They are really great in general.

Yes, elastic laces with no ends.

You can also buy elastic laces for existing trainers on Amazon where you can cut the ends off and put them in ends that screw together.

I have some elastic laces that means you can slip your shoes on and off. No trailing lace. They work brilliantly in my converse.

I've attached a photo that’s under review.

Lock Laces should work.

Or, if that's too sporty there are silicone laces.

These would be perfect! And do they hold your trainers/boots on properly?

I knew someone here would be able to help, thank you.

I’ve not tried them with trainers or boots but they are great with my converse.

I have these spare. If you dm me I’ll post them to you.

Yes, DS wears them all the time and he's quite tough on his shoes! You do need to make sure you have the correct length, like normal shoelaces it's dependent on number of eyelets.

These look good!!

we got my DS some where the ends are clips that clip together and they always came unclipped so you’d end up with the same issue. But this style in the picture looks better.
