What ages would you take both kids to Disneyland?

My kids are 6 years apart, 7 and 1. We would love to take them to Disneyland one day and wish we'd taken the oldest when she was 5! If we don't have the option of leaving the youngest behind with grandparents, what age would you do it so they could both get the most out of it? 9 and 3? 11 and 5? I've never been so I don't know.

I would go now while the youngest is free and the older one is still young enough to enjoy all the young kid stuff. We took ours to Disney World earlier this year at 6 and 4 and it was absolutely magical.

We’ve booked Disneyland Paris for next year.

I took our 1 year old and she was petrified of all the characters - we also have a big gap (9 years). I’d say 4 and 10 - but be prepared to divide and conquer the rides so they can both enjoy it.

I’d just go now. Youngest will be free and you can take turns going on the rides with the eldest.

Yeah I’d go from now, whatever. We went to Disneyworld Florida for a couple of days when our kids were 3&1 and there was tons for them to do!

We have 7 years between oldest and youngest, they’re now 3 & 10 (with an 8 year old in the middle there too) and we were just discussing going to Disneyland Paris with them soon. We’ve just done Efteling which they all enjoyed too (I didn’t but I’m not a theme park person!).

Now isn't an option - we don't have the money! Minimum would be when he's 2.

If you can squeak it in just before the youngest turns 2 you can get away without a seat on the plane, they can sleep in a travel cot and they would still be free entry!
But I think with a 6 year age gap they’re always going to enjoy different bits about it. If your eldest ages out of all the character magic they’ll likely still be excited about all the rides.

We went with friends, and two children age four and one aged seven. The two who were four still remember it. Obviously we did many rides suitable for the younger ones and me😂, but the older one was up for more thrilling rides. We did most of the day together, but one or two would go off with the older one for one more exciting ride a day.

We went in February. Obviously cold, but our half term didn't coincide with their half term, so it was fairly quiet and not too much queuing - some things you could just get on.

They will get different things out of it

i went to WDW Orlando when I was 11 and it was the most amazing thing ever. I also remember it really well which I’m grateful for (only been the once)

I’d wait until the youngest is at least 4

I'd go just before youngest turns 3 as will be a lot cheaper. First took mine at 3 and 8 and they loved it.
