How are you spending Saturday night?

DH is out with friends, DD21 is at the gym, DD18 staying at a friends and DD10 playing Minecraft. I’m watching the 1% club with a glass of wine.
Dogs are snoozing on their beds.
How are you spending Saturday night?

DH is out working until 5am. DD has been walking dogs for me as I fell asleep on the sofa. Probably because one dog hasn’t been feeling well so I was walking him up and down the back garden at 4.30am and I’ve been running on very little sleep as it is.

I’m sitting with a coffee, just enjoyed a white chocolate Blue Riband and I’m waiting on the F1 qualifying to start.

We’re on holiday - UK self catering in a gorgeous apartment. We’re right on the harbour so I’m currently well wrapped up sitting on the balcony and watching what’s going on - we’ve been here once before and it was so busy and lots of people watching to be had, but it’s actually really quiet this weekend despite it having been a gorgeous day.

We went on the boat to another seaside town today, had a huge portion of fish and chips so haven’t bothered with much dinner tonight - DD had a sandwich and some cereal and DH and I have just had some crackers. We had a couple of drinks early on but both have a cup of tea currently. He’s watching a documentary inside and I’m probably going to have to give in and go inside in a second as it’s really getting cold, it’s just such a pretty spot I’m trying to make the most of it.

I made soup out of the ends of veg left in the fridge and lentils. I was indeed a domestic goddess, and it cleared the fridge for the food delivery which I’d arranged for 9pm. DH is away with his dad, Older DS is away with friends so me and younger DS started celebrity Traitors and binge-watched 3 episodes.

I decided not to have wine but I’ve had half a bar of chocolate, a packet of crisps and some pick and mix sweets. I’ve recently switched from mounjaro to Wegovy and it’s not working as well!

Watching crap TV, every so often I have to go and silence DC's sats monitor, his heart rate is dropping to 74bpm making it alarm, loudly.

Watched Death Wish last night with DH. Tonight we are both reading books in bed. Had a very hectic day.

Me and my ds toddler had homemade pizzas.for dinner. Did bath, book, bed..then I made myself a hot chocolate, watched some TV.. tidied up and was in bed by 9 🤣

I'm not sure either of my DCs will have children of their own which is entirely up to them and I'll support them whatever they choose to do. But I must admit I'm a teensy bit envious that you've got a baby to squidge and then give back.

Just stewed a big pan of apples for the freezer, will go and wash up the dishes from that once they've cooled and probably watch some YouTube while knitting after that.

I live alone my son came over to day see if im still alive lol hes gone home now.
Im watching david attenborough on westream large coffee and mums net, also looking at isolated cabin in the woods getaway for next year any ideas let me know.

I watched the Bruce Springsteen film
at the cinema and now chilling and just about to start a new series set in Italy.

Fancier dinner of roast Aldi spatchcock chicken with vegs and potatoes and homemade Victoria sponge + watching Strictly. Now tidying up and MNing.

Switching between reading my book and mumsnet while listening to music. Dh is packing turning house upside down for a trip tomorrow.

I have been to see dp this afternoon and caught up on Netflix and got a takeaway. Just came home to my teens. Now in my pjs ready to read my book ideal Saturday!

The UFC fight didn't last very long. The British man got poked in the eye and the fight was stopped.

Watching The Woman in Cabin 10, with the cat sat between us. Eating speculoos popcorn. And commenting that the book is much better (well, I am anyway).

Back home from a 1st date. Listening to music to distract from the wondering if he enjoyed it too 🫣

Dd is home from uni so she cooked tea tonight & we are waiting for F1 quali to start.

Bit more than a poke! It was a proper jab in both eyes.

Just watched the UFC in bed, trying to stay awake so i don’t wake up at silly oclock with the clocks going back

Evening in front of slow horses and American football with free pizza and a glass of wine because we spend so much at that supermarket.

I’m in bed where I’ve been all day. I have a kidney infection and either I reacted badly to the antibiotics or I also have an underlying bug because I’ve been very sick last night. Today I also came on my period so it’s all going on and I’m feeling very sorry for myself. Just tried to eat a bit of baguette because I was feeling hungry but it wasn’t as good as I thought it would be.

Dh is watching football downstairs, my one dd is printing out photos with her new photo printer and the other dd is talking to her friends on the phone. My little ds is settling to sleep and I’ve just been talking to my eldest ds via message cus he’s at uni. He was home last weekend and I miss him.

Went to Waitrose, got a few bits, then sat in the car deleting emails til DD finished her shift.
Before and after the above, reading: I have a book that my friend gave me 'Life Skills' by Katie Fforde but I was enjoying re-reading 'Happy Ever After' by Patricia Scanlan much more!
