Noise Cancelling Ear Buds for Snoring?

Has anyone had any success with these for blocking out loud snoring. Mainly for holidays so we don’t have to keep booking two rooms!! Any recommendations would be very welcome!

I stick my airpods in and listen to music when falling asleep

I have found Alpine Sleep Deep earplugs good, they're just earplugs rather than having any noise cancelling though. Husband and I only sleep in the same room on holiday but I did used to get regularly woken by a neighbour wheeling their bin out at 5am (and back at 5am a random number of days later) and these did the trick for both.

Thank you so much to everyone who has taken the time to respond. DH and I are going to see if we can tackle the snoring first using some of the ideas people have given here then if that doesn’t work look at earplugs. All your ideas have been read and digested!

Wax earplugs have been a game changer for me. We’re back to bed sharing after two years apart.

The best earplugs I’ve used have been the Boots mouldable ones, take a bit of softening but great!

I am using 3m disposable foam ones. Got them from Amazon, they are brilliant. I no longer want to kill him every night. Does mean that I can’t hear the alarm so he has to wake me up

I am the snorer.
Its incurable (I've already had surgery)

Separate rooms is all that works
or if we have to share a room, twin beds pushed apart.

I think the snorer should sort out their problem rather than you block one of your senses

And what do you suggest for that? We've tried everything for DHs awful snoring, nothing works. No help from doctors once they'd ruled out sleep apnea.

PigeonBrow · 28/10/2025 12:06

I've tried almost everything, including fancy earplugs, mouth guards, nose strips, headphones and noise machines. The only thing that works for me are these cheap E-A-R classic foam earplugs off Amazon:

We sleep separately most of the time but they are perfect for travelling.

I tried Loops and they didnt work for me really i ended up getting a snoozeband and thats been brilliant. I play white noise to it or whatever i fancy and drift off its really comfy too.

I find the silicone ear plugs are the best. They warm and mould around the ear opening.

I haven't been able to make them work, I don't know if my inner ear is too small, but it always seems to unstick after a few minutes and come away from my ears

My husband is a snorer. I've found loop earplugs to really help. I'm a side sleeper and they are still comfortable to lie on.

SoManyTshirts · 28/10/2025 17:51

Another vote for the CPAP machine. I can’t even hear it, or him when he’s wearing it!

Which ones do you have?

MargoLivebetter · 29/10/2025 14:47

Another vote for the Alpine Sleep Deep ear plugs. I've tried pretty much everything and found them the most comfortable & effective as a side sleeper. When I had to wear them every night they did end up irritating my ears eventually, as did everything else. I found them way less irritating than foam, which after two nights would make me want to scratch the insides of my ears out.

I've recently ditched the snorer - definitely the most successful solution to date! 😂
