I can't do tile. I currently have roll vinyl which i hate.

I have enough left over wooden laminate from my hall. Can you do that?

You would have to immediately mop up any spill or splash or else it would be trashed in no time.

You can get waterproof laminate which we have in our kitchen but I wouldn’t put a non waterproof one in

There are options that are waterproof, you'd pay more but it's worth it. We have a wooden floor and I love it.

Look at LVT...luxury vinyl tile. Ours is wood effect and absolutely brilliant.

When we did my mum’s kitchen for her recently we went with a herringbone effect rigid vinyl, which comes as individual pieces. It’s also waterproof and very durable. I wouldn’t personally put regular laminate in a kitchen.

Yours is waterproof so fine. However don’t use a wet mop on it or leave water on for more than a few minutes else it might start to mark etc

I have wood effect LVT in my bathroom, I love it and plan to have it in my kitchen at some point.

This is the one I have

It looks like the one you have is water resistant but you need to do some additional sealing at all the joints. It says that it is resists water for 24 hours, I don’t know how you would seal all the edges. We have a quickstep one that is supposed to be fully waterproof and has been down for 6 years with no problems
