While on the surface this seems a sensible approach by the courts I do worry that this does allow some women to ensure a father loses contact with their children out of a sense of vengence. Whilst the vast majority of abuse claims will be clear cut I am sure that there will be cases where fathers will be denied rights and may find it hard to defend those rights as there will be not a right to the assumption of innocence in these cases. Could we effectively be punishing fathers by removing the right to see their children based on a judicial process that does not have bar of 'beyond reasonable doubt'?
