Okay ... The back story is this , I have a friend currently living in turkey with a abusive husband, and two 6 year olds twin boys who are high on the autisic spectrum. Her Turkish residency permit has now expired and turkey have declined her a new one which means she needs to go back to the UK.shes already overstayed 20 days.
The issue is her husband isn't letting her go, and she has no money of her own to go back to the UK. Anyone know if she just turns up to the airport will she get support ie , somewhere to stay , money , etc?
The other issue is she doesn't know how she will travel with her boys by herself. They live a very solitary life in a village in Istanbul for the last 5 years , they don't leave the house much as the boys run off onto the road or other dangerous areas. They have no awareness of risk and if they see something they are interested in , they will just run to it. Anyone have any experience with having autisic children on a flight ? Going through an airport? Any advice to her? Do airport offer anything to support families with additional needs such as this? She's planning on flying into London Stansted btw.
