Best things to do at EuroDisney - tell me what is unmissable

I'm off on Friday with my two youngest children, aged 7 and 5.

I've been a few times but not for a few years so don't know what's been added/removed etc. My youngest daughter loves Frozen and Stitch so those are a given, as is the usual classics like Big Thunder Mountain, It's A Small World etc

Any other recommendations for eating and rides? Anything to miss with young children too?

Ooh it's exciting 😄

Get the train to val d’europe and get groceries you can bring back to hotel to eat. (Pastries and fruit for breakfast and snacks) Also McDonald’s in val d’europe is a lot cleaner and cheaper than the one in Disney village
ant man restaurant although expensive it is worth it for the buffet

Apart from the parade there's nothing "frozen" there.
Stitch is in the parade and to meet and that's all.

Autopia cars were good fun.

Doseofreality · 22/10/2025 15:51

Drink as much alcohol as you can physically take to make it bearable 😂

The Frozen show and Stitch shows were open when we were there in February but I know they don't run all year.

The Pixar Musical and Lion King Show were my lads favourites.

Definitely the parade if you want Frozen and Stitch.
The Ratatouille ride is probably a must do for age 7 & 5 DC. It’s popular so go in magic hour if you have that.
Pirates of the Caribbean ride is also brilliant.
For food apart from trying to go out of peak times so it’s less busy, no specific recommendations. The food isn’t great there really - expensive and not amazing quality.

LaminatedLou · 22/10/2025 15:58

Get a good spot for the fireworks in at least one so you can really watch iy

Oblahdeeoblahdoe · 22/10/2025 16:09

Mickey and the magician show is great. As a family we would never miss several rides on Star Tours but your DC might be a bit young

FiddleFigs · 22/10/2025 16:13

Don't miss the shows - The Lion King show in particular is amazing.

Ratatouille is closed now for refurbishment.
We literally went the last day it was open, it then had an issue and they just closed it a little earlier than planned.

I recommend the rainforest cafe, loads to see, food was good I thought and decent portions. Kids loved the animals, thunder lightning etc

TwitTwoodiniEscapeOwlogist · 22/10/2025 16:27

I was there a couple of weeks ago, I'd never been before and really loved it. The Halloween decorations are lovely. They're building a big area dedicated to Frozen but it won't be open till next year unfortunately.

Phantom Manor/Pirates of the Caribbean/Ratatouille/Thunder Mountain are all great. Star Tours has three options picked at random, we were lucky enough to do all three and they are all very good, (and the queue seems way smaller than all the other rides, often only 5 minutes)

The two daily parades are different from each other and both very good and one has a Frozen float.

The light/drones/firework show at the castle in the evening was great, but people filled up the area from 9pm and it didn't start till 10pm, And it was standing room only and PACKED so it's a heck of a long time for little ones to be standing still in order to get a decent view. (By the time it started my back was killing me and I was actually feeling rather ill).

We didn't go in the posher restaurants there, but found that the cakes were very nice but the savoury food like burgers etc was a bit pants (McDonalds would have been better quality) It was edible but don't expect too much.

Oh, and I enjoyed the steam train that encircles the area far more than i expected to. (But maybe because it was an extended chance to have a nice sit down! LOL )

HarryVanderspeigle · 22/10/2025 20:39

My kids generally hate people in costume suits, but Stitch was the one they both happily met. The star tours 3d ride was all our favourite. Plus the micky shaped food, such as doughnuts and pizzas.

tripleginandtonic · 22/10/2025 20:50

If you dont want to queue, the teacups and its a small world move quickly. Plus the Casey junior ride as its off the beaten track a bit.

whatohwhattodo · 22/10/2025 20:57

The characters all go to the hotels - you can see them there even if you re not staying.

Theonewhogotthecake · 22/10/2025 21:00

I’m at the Paris Disney now. Lion king show is currently shut as is the Ratatouille and Buzz Light year rides. The parades are great and they have a normal one and Halloween one. The fireworks are at 10pm with many drones - fantastic. Get a spot at least 30 minutes before, preferably earlier.

There is a Stitch show. If you want to meet him go first thing when the meet and greet opens otherwise you will queue for hours.

Get the Disneyland app so you can try and book the digital queue meet and greets (open at 9.45am and 2pm daily).

The 5 year old might be a bit young for Big Thunder mountain but obviously this depends on their nature. I think you can ask staff for rider swaps.

Bring waterproof jackets and refillable water bottles!

FairyBatman · 22/10/2025 21:05

Halloween themed afternoon tea at Victorias is always a hit.

TardisDweller · 22/10/2025 21:06

Bells notte is fabulous for food if they like pizza and pasta, you don't have to book. If either of them like dress up then the My Royal Dream is a brilliant experience too. We also loved Ratatouille, Small World, Thunder Mountain, the Cars lorry ride thing, Pirates of the Carribbean and Crushes coaster - it's all very good really.

EcoCustard · 22/10/2025 23:27

we went last October m & two of my Dc were 7 & 5. They lived Autopia cars, we went on those twice. Pirates of the Caribbean , Thunder Mountain & Pinocchio ride were huge hits. My 5 year old loved Pinocchio so much we went back in the evening when he got tired. The fireworks were brilliant & worth the wait. We went on the busier rides later in the evening. We ate at the Aladdin themed restaurant, lots of snacks too. My kids hung around one of the restaurants & got quick meets with some of the characters.

Dagda · 22/10/2025 23:39

The fireworks are worth the wait. And in evening some of the queues for the bigger rides eased off.

Rainforest cafe in the Disney village was decent for food. Earl of sandwich beside it was decent for lunch.

Any recommendations for an older child (11)? We are also off there this half term.

I brought a ten year old and it was like she was a toddler again every bit of coolness was gone and she met the princesses with her little sister with a big smile!

But she did love the rides in Marvel Campus, tower of terror, space mountain, crushes coaster . And she loved the food in Pyms Kitchen.
