Hospital discharge, is this OK?

Dad was admitted via A&E 2 weeks ago, with a mystery pain in his leg. 82 yo and already struggling with mobility.

It looks like it's probably cancer and the plan for him is being considered by consultants (at a different hospital with a relevant specialism).

He's been told he can come home while possible treatments are considered.

In hospital he's been told not to walk, at all, ornfear of cauae more harm (the cancer to spread?) they've been wheeling him to the loo etc.

My parents have a very cluttered house with no downstairs bathroom, no downstairs bed.

The hospital have said they'll help mum get him in the car but after that she's on her own with him. I mean, I can help (and I don't know what they've told hospital about that) but no one's spoken to me and I'd have thought at the very least "someone" should be talking about equipment. He doesn't even have a walking frame or wheelchair.

Mum is also 80 and frail. She couldn't even support his arm iyswim.

If they're prepared to discharge him, does that mean they think all's well or should I be talking to someone? Who?

That doesn’t sound good. Can you ask that he's referred to the Hospital Assessment team who should assess him pre-discharge and immediately when he goes home, at home to check what support he may need whether that's carers or equipment. Typically physio and OT would be in this team as well as SW.
