Apart from chips you can't beat a steak pudding

Scraps and a Sheffield fish cake/slice.

DH and I share a cod & chips because our local chippy has huge portions! Irish curry sauce for me and mushy peas for him!

Chips cheese and gravy. It's literally our national dish, and no it's not poutine and I'm not Canadian.

Yorkshire fishcake and mushy peas.
If not in Yorkshire, battered sausage, mushy peas, 2 pickled onions. No salt.

A small chip to share - it’s too sickly to eat a meal.

A massive crispy haddock. Nothing finer 🐟

Mini cod and chips , slice of lemon to squeeze on fish , irish curry sauce and a big glass of cold ribena -before they ruined it or a can of ice cold pop, dandelion and burdock sounds lovely.

Haddock, chips, mushy peas.

Fish and chips with a carton of peas for the fish and a carton of gravy for the chips

Spicy haggis supper.

What are scraps?

Chicken and mushroom pie, really salty, vinegary chips, and curry sauce. If I'm feeling really greedy, a battered sausage, which I inevitably have a bite of and give the rest to DH as my eyes are usually bigger than my belly by that point.
Always have fish and chips on the beach though when we visit family on the south coast - a real treat for us as we're in the midlands.

Fish supper (haddock), light on the salt, extra vinegar, buttered roll.

The crispy bits of batter left in the fryer. In Yorkshire they put them to one side and you can ask for scraps on your meal of choice.

Fish chips small curry (in a pot not on top) and a barm so I can make the fish and curry sandwich of shame.
