Anyone have Judge cutlery?

We need some new cutlery. Is Judge cutlery good? It has a 15 year guarantee, but I'm more familiar with Viners, Oneida, etc. It's considerably cheaper than both of those for what we need.

By way of another bump. Didn't know judge did cutlery, off to have a look now!

My parents have Judge which they seem pleased with, although they've only had it a few years. We have Stellar cutlery, which is made by the same manufacturer but is a bit more pricey. I'm very happy with it, feels really nice to hold and eat with. I've had unprompted nice comments about it from guests, which I've never had with cutlery before!

Thank you, that's really helpful. We have two different sets mixed together. The cheaper one is starting to look past it's best and we don't have enough of everything which means washing cutlery between courses on the occasions when we have family and friends round for meals.

The washing cutlery between courses is so annoying! When we decided to invest in new cutlery we bought more than we thought we could ever reasonably need for one meal and don't regret it!

I also have Stellar. Same set for 13 years, goes through dishwasher several times a week, it’s still in great condition. Two sizes of knives and forks, desert, soup, tea and serving spoons.

I had no idea I was this enthusiast about my cutlery until I posted here!

Well I'm glad you are. I bought an extra set of medium sized plates a couple of years ago because we use those loads and I ended up having to wash them between courses. I've got 8 soup plates we've never used though. Sick of trying to piece together enough cutlery from the spare stuff we have when setting the table (that matches nothing and is basically a billion forks and not much else!).

I have some Judge. It gets rust spots on the knives (that can be removed) because I put it through the dishwasher daily, and it says best hand washed.
It is heavy and good quality though.

We have that with our current cutlery so not a big deal.

I have a set of Judge cutlery, it’s the ‘rat tail’ design - can’t think of its proper name - have had it 18years, gets used on a daily basis and chucked in dishwasher and still holding up brilliantly well. It’s really nicely weighted and shaped to hold. I bought it in TK maxx originally and was a bargain at the time. Highly recommended.

I've actually gone with Grunwerg after lots of research and because I wanted matching steak knives - not that we have steak very often.
