Title says it all really, I am intrigued to know what people liked/didn’t like about different prams. Whether it was your main pram or you borrowed to look after a friend’s dc or your grandchild what did and didn’t you like about it?

I have an uppababy vista v2, which has suited us so well.
LOVE:
Big wheels and suspension- great for fields and cobblestones
Lovely bassinet which we used in the house too for our newborn
So glad we got adaptors to fit our car seat
Got the cosytoes for the seat - snug, and also sort of stops the baby slipping about so helps positioning
Big basket is great.

Not so keen on:
It's bulky. I take a wheel off to get it in the boot. Try in your car before you buy! (I knew it wouldn't quite fit but planned this as a compromise)
Haven't used the cup holder, which we paid extra for and could have got for peanuts on vinted!

I also was given a little light stroller for holidays - so refreshingly collapsible and portable. Nice viewing window so you can see what the baby is doing without folding back the canopy (unlike the uppababy). But tiny wheels and a rubbish brake, which you have to sort of flick "up" to get off and therefore is tricky in sandals without risking a toenail.

I have a zummi travel system. The pram itself is fine, it has nice big wheels as do a lot of walking, it is parent and outward facing and has a big basket. The only downsides seem to be that on a 'step' downward the front wheels can get caught and stick and you have to really click it in on the right side after unfolding otherwise it's wobbly. Cheap though so there's that. It also fits in my Ford fiesta boot.

We loved our from Stokke.

Another Uppababy vista fan. For all the above reasons. Their after care is awesome too

I have a Bugaboo Bee and I have hated it since I bought it 4.5y ago! Eldest was a lockdown baby so we weren’t able to try before buying. Now, baby three is 6m and I am on the verge of scrapping my noble plan to just suck it up because it would be wasteful to buy a new one. It’s too big to be a compact pram, yet too small to be a sturdy pram. I walk everywhere and if it’s remotely loaded up (kid on seat and one on buggy board), the front wheels stick and bend, and the whole pram lists so heavily that it takes everything I have to stop it toppling over. It’s just awful.

Following this for recommendations for a pram that would suit three kids under 4.5 (big one sometimes on buggy board with baby in carrier - I don’t fancy a double). Streamlined enough not to be a menace on narrow pavements, but sturdy enough to actually continue in a forward motion!

I also have an Uppababy Vista and find it really smooth. My baby always slept well in it and I would end up walking for miles each day on mat leave. The basket is really big too which is really handy.

Downsides as the poster above mentioned, it is really big and getting it in and out of smaller shops or the bus is a bit of a struggle.

My daughter is a toddler now and doesn’t really need a big buggy anymore but for the baby stage it was great.

Another Uppababy Vista fan!

Big wheels, big basket, very easy to steer with one hand, simple brake. I don’t put it in the car typically, though it fits our boot fine - I’d use the baby carrier if e.g. going in and out of shops. I also use it in parent-facing mode only.

I’ve pushed other people’s prams occasionally, and way prefer mine! The Bugaboo Bee - mentioned critically by a PP - was so flimsy 🙈

thecomedyofterrors · 14/10/2025 21:42

I also had an Uppababy Vista which is still solid and strong 9 years later. It’s a bit unwieldy as a double, but excellent as a single and with a huge, strong basket.

FettleOfKish · 14/10/2025 21:46

We had a second hand Stokke Trailz that we loved when DS was tiny, comfortable bassinet and big air-filled tyres and solid frame great for cobbled streets and country walks. Could be parent or world facing and it’s nice and high so easy to interact with baby. Massive and heavy though and had to be taken into two parts to fold. Now DS is mobile we’ve swapped to a Joie Litetrax which is a dream to fold and unfold one handed and easy to steer with one hand while he walks holding the other. Flat recline and a nice big hood for (now rare!) buggy naps. It’s great value for the money.

We also have a Yo-yo for air travel but the seat back doesn’t seem to come up far enough, he’s often slumped in it (this could be because it’s another hand me down, not sure if it’s just seen a lot of wear).

Devilsmommy · 14/10/2025 21:47

I had the Joie chrome but didn't have the full travel system with the car seat unfortunately. I loved that it was parent facing for when baby was small but then could be outward facing later on. The wheels were brilliant on all different terrains. The shopping basket was a really good size . It also opened and folded down so simply. I would always recommend this pushchair because it can be used from birth until they don't need it anymore. The price tag wasn't eye wateringly expensive either.

121gigawatts · 14/10/2025 21:53

One you probably haven't heard off called Jane Crosswalk (Spanish brand but you can get them here) absolutely amazing on all terrain. I believe they do a Crosswalk light now too which looks great and not as heavy/bulky.

Also bought a KinderKraft Mitzy to take on holiday but ended up using all the time. It's not a travel pram by any means but folded much smaller and lighter than the Jane. Again, really good suspension and huge seat.

Have tried a couple of the travel prams that fold up really tiny - yet to find a really good one!

Hated our Maxi Cosi double pram, too difficult to push, terrible suspension.

DeliciouslyBaked · 14/10/2025 21:56

Another uppababy vista fan here 😅 Agree with all the pros and cons listed above. We don't have a car in London, so the massive basket is amazing for carting shopping around. I would add though that the second seat is pretty rubbish. If I had 2 under 2, id switch it for a side by side double. But it was fine until DD2 moved out of the bassinet (by then DD1 could do the buggy board instead).

I also have an uppababy minu as a travel buggy and I love how light it is. It also has a good basket size for a travel buggy. Now DD2 is bigger, I would use that as my main buggy if it wasnt for the fact that its too light for the buggy board.

Snugglemonkey · 14/10/2025 22:13

We had a Bugaboo donkey, mostly due to wanting another baby quite quickly. That did not work out at all, so we didn't actually used it for two, but I loved the basket on the side. It was so, so great for pootlibg about the village going to different shops, also for trips to shopping centres. It was not good for sand, actually a nightmare on the beach, despite being apparently capable of going off road. Also, not good on very narrow pavements.

We also had a stokke xplory. I LOVE it. Dh thinks it is awesome use, but I really do not know what he means, it is just easy to me. It is such a great height for great interactions with a baby, it is very good off road. It does not have very much capability for carrying shopping, but I have acoupme of clips for carrier bags and both bag options to attach. I would buy this again. My wee one is nearly 3 and it is still great. Dh prefers to use our cosatto buggy now, but I think the pram is so much better because she loves to put her feet down in the buggy and trail them on the ground and wreck her shoes and impede my progress!

The cosatto is the cosatto monster stroller. It is light, very easy to manage. I do like it, but prefer the height of the stokke. We do travel with this one, easy on planes etc. However, I hate that the foam grip on both the handles has split and is uncomfortable, despite not having a lot of use. I think one handle happened on a plane, so it might not have been a fault in the buggy, but the other is also split, so hmm.

I have a Yoyo as a main buggy. I'm in central London and don't have a car. It's brilliant for taking on public transport, especially tube stations with lots of stairs (I can carry it on my own without standing helplessly waiting for another adult) or folding quickly to carry upstairs as my DD likes to sit on the top deck, and I never have to wait 15 mins for the next bus when the wheelchair/buggy area is full. It's incredibly strong and holds an older sibling and a toddler sitting on their lap when they've both had enough of walking. I've bought off brand accessories like a 175 degree seat and extra long footrest so dc can stretch right out at naptime, it's like having a bed on wheels. It's great for airports and all kinds of travel as it can fit in overhead lockers and the overhead racks on a train, and in the footwell of buses.
