Electric cooker-induction or not?

Looks like my cooker is failing😕 so I’m looking for replacement.
Whole house is electric so just wandering if I should go for induction or not?

My pans are compatible with induction.

Any recommendations welcome🙂

It has to be 60cm wide, not sure about the budget yet as it depends if I get some refund/voucher from the shop to put towards the new one.

I’m baking and cooking a lot.

Induction definitely. Some prefer gas (not me), but if gas isn't an option anyway, induction is far far far better than ceramic.

IIRC they need a bigger space underneath than, for example, ceramic. I know I couldn't have fitted one above the fabulous built-under double oven I have. Also, I'm not keen on touchscreen controls which most induction hobs seem to be.

Induction all the way. If we moved and the new house had a non induction hob, changing it would be the first thing I would do.

Yes, i love my induction. Never going back!

OP said it was a cooker they need, not a hob. (A pp has posted an example of a cooker, which is a standalone all-in-one with oven, hob and grill.)

I like my induction hob. I have multi zone hobs so I can accommodate larger pans etc.

Just a word of warning if anyone has a pacemaker they need to keep at least 60cm from the hob my uncle was told best not to use one and had to replace one that had only been in 6 months (this was a few years ago so they may be different rules but worth checking out).

Thanks for all the comments and recommendations.

I am aware about the pacemakers/insulin pump that you must considerate but (thankfully) it doesn’t apply to me.

I have bog standard recess between kitchen units that is able to accommodate cooker 60cm wide.
I’m not interested in buying hob&oven separately as it’s a faff with building it and I have no time or energy to chase after tradesmen.

Pots/pans are not the problem.

Now the question is which one?
I’m tempted by AEG one. £1000 would be my absolute top of the budget(providing I’ll get partial refund/voucher)

Any recommendations gratefully received, thank you 🙂

I recommend ao.com for their services like fitting, delivery, recycling, etc, but not a specific cooker as I have an induction range.
