I think i have thrush on the skin under my after. It appeared a week and a half ago sfter sitting in a and e for about 20 hours with my
gran so i assume i got a bit sweaty and hot (sorry).

i went to the parmacy last monday got clotramizole cream and i have been applying but its really not better i was goign to message the gp on monday as the pharmacy said that would be my next step ( i cant take the tablet form without go as it could react with another medication im on.

but oh my god last night it got so bad the rash is super sore and actually bleeding in places and its suddenly spread to both breasts in one up to my nipple. Im going insane with itching and soreness. I also now seem to have a temp which may or may not be related

is there anything i can do liek right now to help this as pharmacy has nothing else and monday seems a lifetime away right now.

i just dont feel i can call an put of hours doctor for thrush!

Ring 111 and request an out of hours appointment. Your skin is so irritated it's bleeding, you need to be seen.

ThingsgetbetterwithalittlebitofRazzmatazz · 11/10/2025 12:11

Definitely call 111 for this.

In the meantime fold two clean tissues in half and place one under each breast in the crease. It can be quite soothing, absorb any perspiration and will stop the skin rubbing on itself. Change the tissues regularly.

Can you get to minor injuries or a&e. You dont wasn't to end up with Cellulitis

NerrSnerr · 11/10/2025 12:43

I agree, call 111 and get an out of hours appointment. Situations like this are exactly what it’s there for.

thecatfromneptune · 11/10/2025 12:58

If you have a temperature and the rash is spreading, you should be seen at OOH.

LittleGreenDragons · 11/10/2025 13:06

Placemarking as I have similar and im able to "manage" it but I've never totally got rid of it. As pp suggested - put a tissue under each boob to soak up excess moisture, also I find sudocreme is soothing and stops with the cracking/bleeding. I've never found the thrush cream to be effective unfortunately.

Any walk in centres near you?**

AutumnedCrow · 11/10/2025 13:10

I’ve recently had this. GP put me on antibiotics for a week (Flucloxacillin) as well as antifungal treatment. It’s proving to be a long slog. You need to persevere with the antifungal treatments for many weeks - and you may need oral treatment as well as topical.

Please do use NHS111 / Out Of hours. It could be infected.

TalulahJP · 11/10/2025 13:20

There are different antifungals. You may just need a different type. I’d ask a pharmacist or out of hours facility if one is currently open nearby via ringing nhs 24 before sitting in a&e for many hours.

MidnightPatrol · 11/10/2025 13:24

I’d start with getting some air to it to let it dry out a bit, and sudocrem.

Hoodlumboodlum · 11/10/2025 13:27

I wouldn't use tissue as it'll stick to it and get a bit gross. A clean dry sock or hankie would work better. Agree with the sudocrem and maybe take some painkillers too.

WinterFrogs · 11/10/2025 13:30

How about Cuticura talc? Though it sounds like you probably need prescribed medication.

Fionasapples · 11/10/2025 13:36

If you have an old clean cotton pillowcase, cut rectangles from it to put underneath to stop the rubbing. You could put a good barrier cream or sudocrem on it to sooth it.

Endofyear · 11/10/2025 14:07

Please do ring 111 and get an out of hours doctor's appointment. If the rash is spreading and you feel unwell, you could have cellulitis which is no joke!

BernadetteJune · 11/10/2025 14:09

Aveeno cream is my 'go-to' for any skin problems - it is so soothing and works fast.

aufolandedonmyface · 11/10/2025 15:38

Thanks everyone! I did go to the walk in who said it looks like thursh plus a bacterial infection so i have antibiotics now!
