A question for those of you who do botox

I’m thinking of doing Botox. A friend really recommended a practitioner and she’s great, we had an initial chat and now I’m thinking about it.

i guess my only concern is - once you start, is it impossible to stop? I realise you can stop, of course, but I’m asking whether you get used to looking good/refreshed and therefore, it’s hard to stop

for context, I’m mid 50s and just want to see if it refreshes my face!

Yes for me, would never stop. I’m mid 50’s, been having it every 3 months for past 6-7 years.

I’m 47 just had Botox for the first time last year . Have continued as it’s so hard to stop once you get used to the look when you have it !!

I've had it for 11s and the difference very very moderate. Literally nothing to see unless I try to frown hard. I leave it to work out entirely between top ups. I only have it done about once every nine months. No one ever comments either way. So yes you can definitely stop. I only have it done for big occasions, in the same way as I might have eyelash extensions or shellac.

I’ve been having it every 8-ish months for about 5 years. The longer you have it, the longer it lasts in my experience. I last had it in the summer and will likely be ready for a refresh in Jan/Feb.

My practitioner has a medical background and moved into aesthetics and uses it with restraint (by which I mean he has a ‘less is more’ approach and the results are brilliant and I can still move my face 😁). You wouldn’t know I have it, I just look fresher than I would naturally.

For me I’d rather not stop but if I suddenly couldn’t afford it, it would be the first thing to go. I feel I look so much better with it but after having it for so long (about8 years) the results do last longer and I only go about twice a year.
I get it for my 11, crows feet and forehead and my preference is no movement at all I don’t have any other aesthetics done so still look fairly natural just no lines!
