Cortisol belly fat

Good morning. To all you menopausal women out there, please can you give me some advice on this. Is it a thing? Has anything worked for you? I have suddenly developed this belly out of nowhere and nothing seems to be shifting it. I'm getting spammed by adverts for Happy Mammoth Hormone Harmony and would love to know if it actually works. With my rapidly diminishing height and sudden increased girth, I'm beginning to look like a weeble. Please help

Hi OP. I’ve no idea about that sales thing, but honestly wouldn’t touch anything that claims to manage your natural cortisol levels.
Cortisol is a really important hormone that keeps you alive - never, ever mess with it. Our bodies have a complex & sophisticated system to produce cortisol, integrated with other hormones & processes.
If you’re medically diagnosed with one of the very few, rare diseases that do reduce or increase your natural cortisol levels then the only safe help comes through an Endocrinologist.
How do I know this? Because I am being kept alive by one!
Yes we may have “belly fat” as we age but it’s pretty normal & not cortisol-related.
If there is any noticeable body fat laid down by excess cortisol, it’s on the top of your back, above & between the shoulders; it’s called Cushings Disease & is very rare.
Please never meddle with cortisol!!

I think “cortisol” is just the latest buzz word to make you part from your money.

they are selling supplements.
at best they do nothing.

they are not regulated in the sams way as medicines are.

Cortisol balancing is definitely a social media trend right now. Outside of actual recognised condition like Cushing’s or Addison’s, there’s no scientific evidence to back up what’s being claimed. Just another nonsensical supplement trend imo.

It seems like it all.the sneaky adverts and "content creators" going on about cortisol and menopause, it just seems absolute rubbish !

Used to be called middle aged spread, or being matronly, and nobody gave it a second thought.
