Snoring remedies

I downloaded a sleep app and have been tracking. I snore. I also snore quite loudly. I am 54 and weight 10 and a half stone so not overweight. I don’t drink either. I am going to put a pillow behind my back tonight to see if that works and also try some nose strips but is there anything else? My pillow that I actually sleep on is quite flat so may be that needs changed.

I am conscious I have a couple of trips coming up with friends and I don’t want to ruin that by snoring.

CPAP

I've always snored. Having my tonsils removed helped slightly I think. They were huge from repeated tonsillitis. But I snore on my back, my side, my front, sat up. I am slightly overweight but it happened when I was slimmer. I would love some ideas about what to do too!

You need to see your GP and get assessed for sleep apnoea which is a condition with serious consequences if left untreated.

DH was diagnosed after me on at him for years, and he now has a CPAP machine from the hospital. He has an App which monitors his breathing and the hospital also see the results. He has check ups every so often too.

Thanks. I will definitely try a new pillow. Any recommendations? If pillow doesn’t help I will speak with my GP, just in case.
