Where would you recommend to stay and eat around the Marylebone area please? I have a hospital appointment in Harley Street at the end of October and would like to make a trip of it for me and my husband.

Thank you

The Marylebone hotel and The Lancaster hotel are both coming up good value, which is the better area?

The Marylebone is really near Harley street and is perfectly fine. I’ve had meetings there. The Lancaster tends to be used for corporate events and is further out so you’ll spend money on travel rather than being able to walk to your appointments/dinner etc.

Can anyone recommend a place that does dinner and a show? Park Chinois looks nice.

Maybe eat at Brasserie Zedel and see what’s on at the Crazy Coqs cabaret there.

Following this thread because DH has an appointment in that area in a couple of weeks time too. We’re staying in a different part of London but would be interested in suggestions for a nice early lunch - nothing too heavy though.

Park chinois is very spendy and last time I went it was dinner at a table then they create a dance floor. Last time I went it was full of wealthy Middle Eastern tourists…which may or may not be your thing? Sexy fish often has a DJ which has a good vibe.

Maine has a live 30’s/40’s type feel with a cabaret but the dinner menu is limited. Quaglinos has a live singer (swing type) which is lovely and a bit of a show. Or maybe Ronnie Scott’s? Food is pretty rubbish but the music is good. Or the Jazz cape pizza express in soho? Out to the city, the Ned usually has live swing type music and to the very east, Soul Mama has great live music and excellent carribean food and Boisdale at Canary Wharf has live music (I’ve not been there though)

Hope that helps!

The Orrery is nice or there’s Chiltern Firehouse. Dishoom is good for something more casual - closest one is probably Soho, not far.
If the Landmark is too expensive you could look at the holmes hotel or the zetter. The Raddison Blu down the road near Bond Street is good too.

Think Chiltern Firehouse is closed from a fire.

Paul Rothe & Sons delicatessan is a lovely place for a sandwich lunch in Marylebone
