Reasonable adjustment - asking for interview questions in advance?

I am considering a part time job after not working for many years, but I'm conscious of the fact I do not perform well on the spot. I am autistic and slow to find an example of X situation and word it well under pressure. I have heard that some people ask for questions in advance, but is this off putting to an interviewer? Will they already discount me? I don't want to convey that I can't adapt and manage things because I can, particularly for a store colleague or cleaning job, but will asking for the questions make them think I can't? a friend recently interview for ASDA and told me about a couple of questions that I would really need to sit and think over to work out how to apply my little non recent work experience to.

This is absolutely an adjustment that you can ask for. Some employers will choose to give everyone the questions to all candidates beforehand but not all do this.
Don’t be afraid to say “ can you repeat the question please?”
ASDA is a Disability Confident employer so just ask.

Perfectly reasonable, explain and ask that they’re provided.

Yep perfectly reasonable. We've started sending them to all candidates as standard.

Depends what the job is for. Would you be asked questions as part of the job? Would you be able to answer those types of questions?

Yes it’s perfectly usual for people to ask for the questions in advance as a reasonable adjustment (I work in recruitment). We give
everyone the questions in advance anyway.

Yes - I work in a civil service department and they will provide the interview questions before the interview if needed as a reasonable adjustment, but they only send them out the morning of.

I am not looking for a high pressure career, so presumably any questions asked as part of the job would just be basic customer queries which would be absolutely fine. It’s the interview type questions where you have to draw on real life experience immediately that I’m worried about, mainly because I don’t have my recent employment.

Our employer does it as standard for everyone. They say they want to get the best out of people. You’re allowed to take notes in too.
