Any paramedics about?

I would like to give a gift or some treats to some paramedics. What is the etiquette? I gave cards and fancy biscuits to ward staff. Would it be ok to take something similar to the ambulance station? Send a card?
TIA

I’m sure the paramedics would appreciate biscuits and a card. Lovely gesture. They’re often overlooked. They are so vital and often key to saving lives. Hope you’re doing okay.

They saved my life. I am so grateful. Absolute heroes and so kind.

Sadly I have had to give up. There seems to be no way to actually deliver anything to an ambulance station. Understandably they are locked up like Fort Knox. I have emailed, left a voice mail asking how/ when I could bring some gifts. No response.
I cant go and stand outside hoping to see someone going in. It is cold, wet and I am not well. I guess I can send a card and hope it gets there.

@dazedbutstillhere Could you take something into the A&E department of the hospital who cared for you?
So pleased they were so successful treating you!
I think what you’re doing is lovely; paramedics are an under appreciated bunch, very much quiet heroes.

Why not try contacting PALS at whichever hospital you were taken to, giving details of time, date etc and explain what you want to do. I've found them to be really helpful in the past. Glad you're OK!

One station is a long way from me. The ambulance was diverted to me while already on the road. Their station is about 1.5 hours away. I wamted to actually give them some goodies personally. I already left things for the hospital staff.
I will try posting a card.

If you take it to the A&E you went to they can pass it onto the ambulance crew. They’re in & out of A&E all day.
Also at some bigger hospitals the ambulance crew hang around whilst waiting for their next job so that would be another option.

Do they have a postal address?

Which ambulance service is it and are you near to their HQ or control rooms as you yourselves there. I was a senior manager with the North West for 30 years. If you know the name you could write to the HQ and ask to make a donation to their welfare fund or simply send a letter of thanks that will be passed on. A card of thanks is always very much appreciated

My dad was a paramedic. He got handwritten cards sometimes which he both loved and counted towards his appraisals!

If you know the address of the ambulance station the crew came from, you could send them a bundle of goodies from Amazon with a message explaining why you’re sending them.

Thanks everyone. All sorted.

I contacted www.londonambulance.nhs.uk/talking-with-us/thanking-our-staff/ and had a lovely response.

I did do that but no response. I went to one ambulance station right next to the hospital and was able to go into the grounds and speak to a paramedic. They took one card and gifts. They also phoned the first responders base and let the manager know I was coming so they looked out for me and came to the security gate and took the second card plus gifts. It took a lot of time and travel but mission accomplished. The two places are a couple of hours apart.

Ahh that's a shame. Glad you sorted it though and hope you make a speedy recovery.
