Ideas for a thank you gift

Someone has done some work on and off for my aunt over the past year or so.

She’s been very good, kind and sensitive as well as getting the work done to a high standard at a reasonable cost.

Safly my aunt has died. I would like to get this person a thank you gift as they really went above and beyond. I’m thinking in the region of £50.

All I can think of is flowers or chocolates. I don’t think they are into flowers, but any ideas for chocolates/food or for anything else would be really welcome.

Thank you.

French soap is my go to gift for people. Something they probably wouldnt buy them selves, is durable and enjoyable.

Gift voucher for afternoon tea/lunch somewhere nice? Does she like gardening - if so maybe a garden centre voucher?

She sounds lovely. How old is she? Does she have much spare money? What sort of things does she like, do you know?

Go for a voucher like John Lewis (can be used by Waitrose as well) for example.

If you know a bit about her then book voucher, garden center or a favourite store may work.

Unless I know a person extremely well, things like candles, home accessories or any form of scent, even soaps, are a no-go.

You can always add a potted plant or a bottle/chocolate with it.

Thank you for the suggestions. And especially the questions are they are helpful.

I don’t know her very well. She works very hard professionally and doesn’t have a lot of spare time, so I don’t want to give her something to “do” like a gardening related gift.

She is very family orientated and she is fond of a good coffee, so I maybe something related to that?

I’m not so sure about a gift voucher because I don’t want the face value amount to show.

If she’s fond of coffee there are so many lovely things. If she uses actual beans you should find some lovely beans.

You can get vouchers at a lot of coffee shops and she could then get a cake each time she goes along.

If she likes to cook, then a pair of stainless steel kitchen scissors from Katto (made in Sheffield) are currently my favourite present to give.
