What would you want to buy at the seaside?

I am sick of the grind and unsupportive managers.

I live in a very busy seaside town. Nine out of twelve months are busy.

One of my passions is cooking and I'd love to have a unit and turn it in to an eatery. Apart from the usual fish and chips, what other food would you like at the seaside? I thought about Spanish tapasand streetfood but perhaps that's too niche. Also thought about hot roast barms with a few roasties as sides. This isn't an affluent town and I'm thinking small premises with no more than six tables, but mostly takeout.

Pasties, gourmet sandwiches, pies, pastries, cakes, ice-cream sundaes

I live in a seaside town and the one place that always has a queue in all weathers is the gelato place. So much so they have opened up two new outlets down the coast.
Good branding, changing interesting flavours, option of cup or cone, something indoors for wet days.

It’s classic seaside. Something you don’t get much inland, cheaper than a meal, appeals to the whole family, quick turnover, instagrammable…

Otherwise it’s the hole in the wall that sells amazing home made pies, pasties, sausage rolls and scotch eggs. Low overheads, can be eaten without sitting down.

I also like the idea of loaded fries in a cone.

The suggestions of ‘vegetables’ (not veggie food just ‘vegetables’) or Banh Mi are ridiculous. I’ve only just come to understand what a Banh Mi is and I’m a foodie ( and I really don’t like them) so it’s unlikely to appeal to the average family day tourist to the English seaside

I think the first thing I'd do is get a Saturday job in one of the outlets near you and find out first hand without risk what good retail is like
