Moving across London when you're disabled. Taxis?

I just need to tap into some sensible advice here. I'm rarely in London & feeling overwhelmed about this trip. Probably because I've been ill recently.

I promised to take an elderly relative to the West End & need to get us from Victoria Coach Station to the Theatre District. They're very slow & mobility has declined since I booked the tickets.

It's a matinee thank god, so we won't be lost in the dark, lol Grin

Do we book taxis from Victoria, or is there a rank? Do I chance flagging one down, at each end of the trip?

Last one, any recommendations of not too busy places to eat either side of the performance. Close to the Sondheim.

There will be taxi's everywhere you can flag down. If he has a wheelchair you can book wheelchair adapted users.

There's a dedicated cab rank outside of the main entrance (Terminus Place), so you shouldn't have a problem finding one there. On the way back, you can usually hail a taxi on Shaftsbury Avenue, or walk to Piccadilly Circus where there's an official rank.

I can't help with food, but you can prod Tripadvisor or Google for recommendations around the theatre.

Thanks Wanda. We're not taking a wheelchair as I'm not strong enough to manhandle it Grin

Yes, this trip was a bad idea Blush

Ah, I recognise Terminus Place on Google. That's down the road isn't it? Why are there so many different Victoria stations?! Blush We're coming in to the Victoria Coach Station on Elizabeth Street.

See, I'm lost before we've even got there Grin

Thanks for tip about where to hail on the return journey + Trip Advisor 🤓
