Good Morning Everyone! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just finishing my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot after snuggles with boy cat again. He used to stick his nose in my ear/up my nose to get me up, now he lays down & snoozes with me 🤣. They've both had breakfast & gone back upstairs. It's very quiet, so presumably they're asleep!

I have the washer and dryer going already, have put the gammon for tea in the slow cooker, and have put a few pots to soak. I'll wash up shortly. I need to clear the corner of doom in my room this week, so may start on that today.

Other than that and catching up on washing, I don't think we have any plans for the day. Dd2 has homework so will probably bring her laptop down to do some of that while watching The Rookie, so I'll either finish a set of Gruffalo peg dolls I started last week, or start a crochet butterfly and look for a pattern for tree tops (suppose I could just wing it really 🤔).

We're having gammon, egg, chips and pineapple for tea. Accompanied by a glass of wine for me.

Once we've tidied the kitchen, it'll be time for showers and get ready for the coming week. I'll have my usual Self-Care-Sunday scrubby everything shower followed by re-painting my toe nails and maybe sticking some press ons (probably not though!), then settle down with my book for a few more chapters before a nice early night, ready for work in the morning 💤.

What about all of you? 🙂

Good morning @lucysmam & everyone. Sadly I’m working at 12 so will be clock watching. Just up & dressed. DH & I were awake about 7 & I made us a cuppa to have in bed. He’s now cutting his hair then will have a shower but no shave as it’s Sunday. DD16 is out for a walk. Her period arrived early so she’s extra stroppy. Will do the dishwasher then make another cuppa & maybe some toast. It’s lovely weather at the moment. I need to buy spuds as I’m doing roasties for tea with sausages & peas. Just looked in the fridge for jam or marmalade & there are some seriously out of date jars in there! Cherry & brandy conserve Oct 2021! I need some sort of system to record when jams etc are started as we always end up with loads & then can’t remember how long they’ve been open! Going to have orange blossom honey on my toast. After work, I will put up the 2nd necklace hanger as I bought double sided adhesive pads from Screwfix the other day. If I’m not too tired & it’s still sunny, I might go for a walk. Also must do some physio as I haven’t done any all week. Have a great Sunday folks 🙂

I saw a tip to stick some masking tape on jars/bottles in the fridge and write the date you open them on it with a sharpie. Easy to see and remove and not expensive

Morning all

This is one of my favourite threads to read every week but I have not been brave enough to post before.

Sadly we don't have the lovely weather here just drizzle.

Popping to the local supermarket for a few bits and then packing as I have to go away tonight for an early meeting tomorrow.

Have a lovely day everyone

@Hedgehogsaremyjam it's a bit grey here too. No rain though. I don't know whether to put out my next load of washing or not 🤷‍♀️.

We didn’t get up until around 9 which was lovely. I made some coffee, drank it in bed with husband and played some of the NYT games on the app, while DS11 drank a tea and played some Roblox. Husband walked the dog then came back and mowed the lawn while I read some of the new Robert Galbraith book in bed. I’ve done something to my heel/ankle so I’ve got a bit of a limp - trying to not do too much today to let it rest and hope it heals itself so I don’t need to see a doctor!
Cheese on toast for lunch and now more reading in bed this afternoon with a coffee. It’s a beast of a book so I need to do some hours with it this weekend to try and reach the halfway point at least.
Husband and son are heading out soon to do some shopping - it’s my birthday in a couple of weeks and DS has been ever so unsubtly asking for gift ideas these last few days, so I think I know what they’re shopping for 😊. Then tonight I’m cooking French mustard chicken, a potato gratin and some roasted carrots for dinner. Catch up on this weekends TV tonight, then bed. A lovely chilled Sunday.

I've already got quite a lot in - been to kosher butchers to get stuff I need for Yom Kippur fast-breaking meal on Thursday, got to the gym.

But this afternoon I'm taking DS to a cat cafe - quite excited about that. I suggested my mum get him a voucher for his 14th birthday last month. Little did we now that we'd be bereft of a cat ourselves by the time we went - sadly our cat passed away quite suddenly 4 weeks ago. So it will be nice to have some cat time again.... I haven't broached next cat with DH yet, as he was the person maybe most upset, but I think we should start looking after we have a big party we're throwing at the start of November, as we wouldn't want to get a new cat in before then.

Morning everyone! Lovely day here so I have two loads of washing hanging on the line. We had a new bread maker delivered yesterday so have tried that out with a fresh loaf ready for lunchtime. DS has been doing his homework while I read the paper. DH walked the dog and went to the garden centre for some compost.

Later on, we might walk the dog somewhere more interesting than our usual route, then back home for the weekly family MS Teams catch up call with further-away relatives. Sausages, mash and sauerkraut for dinner. Oh, and I need to fit in the ironing somewhere, possibly with the last episode of a series I’ve been watching (can’t remember the name, Netflix, Keeley Hawes).

Just missed morning but good afternoon @lucysmam and everyone.

Slow day here. Was out last night quite late. Two nights out in a row has done me in.

Been up since 8ish. Did my NYT puzzles and had tea and toast. Have some washing on. Emptied the dishwasher and have it running on a cleaning cycle with some cleaner. Makes me feel accomplished even if I haven’t done much!

Made DS some bacon sandwiches - he’s recovering from a night out too.

We were supposed to continue paining our new garden room but it’s raining so can’t do that. Will keep an eye out for the rain to stop so I can go for my walk and I also want to pick the remaining tomatoes in the garden.

Planning a lazy afternoon of reading. Lamb steaks with roast potatoes and some sort of veg for dinner. With wine. And an early night!

I am on a Northern Lights Cruise in the Norwegian Fjords. It’s lovely 😊

My nine month old has a stomach bug, he’s literally exploding every 3-4 hours.
