This is driving me mad. Can anyone help me find the artist and song name for this bluddy song please so I can find it and listen. This first bit is going round in my head and I have to listen in full to make it go away! I think it’s 1990’s / 2000’s. Thanking you in advance 🙏

Naaa, na-na na naaa,
na-na na naa, na-na naa, na-na naa,
na-na na naaa.

….continues like this for a bit then says “I’m the lyrical (*or possibly miracle) gangster….”

Who the fuck are the people who think Hey Jude is from the 90s and includes lines pertaining to a lyrical gangster

😂

Because that goes na na na as well, just with different notes. Both of these are class songs though!

Ah yes the famous lyrical gangster line that appears in Hey Jude… Silly me!

That was my first thought as well. DD is beyond excited that she has got tickets to see them next year.

Nice! I’m going too. Can’t wait.

TheNightingalesStarling · 26/09/2025 07:59

Thread title made me think Crocodile Rock.

This is what I thought.

“I am the walrus”

What do you mean “I am the Walrus”?

Thats a different song to Hey Jude (which is wrong, anyway).

Neither of them are from the 90s, and neither of them have the lyric “lyrical gangster”

??

AutumnLover1989 · 26/09/2025 09:29

Gala "Freed from desire"?

hindsightisuseful · 26/09/2025 09:52

I don’t know the name of the song but it’s a rap. It’s probably been mentioned

starts something like

you’re Coming up slowly

(chorus)

turn it up?

I think this is my favourite line from my favourite outtake of all time 😃

I think it's the song used when the stinky fish counter guy gets a lift in Peter Kay's Car Share. The outtakes from that episode are hysterical!! Hotstepper.

The out takes on that scene are the funniest things I've ever seen.

I knew exactly which song you meant, but I've always heard it as "Excuse me Mr. Officer" 🤣 Oh well, now I know!

Kayleighfish · 26/09/2025 18:28

Just skimmed through responses, but is it not Deep Purple, Hush?!

Perplexin · 26/09/2025 18:30

ShowOfHands · 26/09/2025 19:13

snughugs · 26/09/2025 19:18

Kylie “can’t get you out my head”. Oh wait that “la la la

ForestFrank · 26/09/2025 19:21

With all the na-na-naaa na's, I thought it had to be Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye, famously covered by Bananarama.
