What small things do you buy your DS?

For a treat, DD is so easy to buy for; sticki rolls, labubus, putty, bracelets etc. DS likes none of these things. What treat kind of things do you buy your DS? It ends up being Pokémon cards which he’s not that into really or sweets.

Magazines, new notebooks, new book, pyjamas, Yoto card… my son is almost 7

It was always books, little animal/dinosaur toys (about £2 from the ELC) and pencils/nice drawing paper, when he was small - and pokemon cards and football stickers. Nowadays, a box of Calvin Klein pants when I see him! He's 30 😀

Mini Lego set. Or if that's too big and you don't give them immediately, get an advent calendar (when they're on offer) and parcel up the days.
Books, colouring books, puzzle books etc. comic.
Minecraft minifigures.

DS really doesn't like "stuff" whereas DD does. Solved it by giving them pocket money and letting them buy their own. Now I only have to think about small things for the stockings!

money for fortnite or roblox usually. 😂 He has a thing for rubber ducks too so ocassionally treat him to a new one.. latest addition was a Donald trump duck in which he built a lego wall around. 🙈

He-s nearly 26 ! But bar of Cadbury Caramel chocolate or some Orange/Lime tic tacs gladdens his dark little heart .
Tub of Lush Kalamazoo for his beard

How old is your DS? When mine was younger he liked hot wheel cars, Pokémon cards, collectible type things, football cards. He’s 13 now and I don’t really buy him lots of treats. He has pocket money to buy his own. If I saw a chocolate bar he loved or something I would get him one but otherwise he gets his own treats (which are now mainly sweets!). Or I treat him to a Costa/starbucks

Mine likes bouncy balls and slime. Minecraft key rings too. Older boys are teens, they get chocolates or sweets usually.

Heyhiitsme · 25/09/2025 09:53

Hotwheels (the individual ones), bouncy balls, kalidescopes, the springs that go down the stairs, whoopie cushions (I am a terrible influence 😂), new Lego sets, putty, new pens/colouring books, sticker books, story books… DS is TOO easy to buy for! 😬

He's 10. Treats include games for the Xbox which aren't included in our subscription, haribo type sweets, pringles and top trumps (we have a huge collection now but they come out on long car journeys/in restaurants and he's learnt loads from them).

When he was younger, playmobil blind bags were a huge hit or hot wheels cars (he still likes them but we have hundreds) and dinosaur figures (which he also still collects).

Lunch. Crisps. Sweets. Biscuits. He’s 28

My DS has a soft side. He loves smelly soaps, hand creams, lip balms etc. A diffuser is also on his list, although not a particularly small thing. He also loves crafting Roblox/Grow a Garden items with large sheets of poly something, which we get from Hobbycraft.
