Getting home from Wembley

Any tips for getting back into London after Oasis on Sunday? Driving or staying aren’t options unfortunately.
there is a choice of 3 stations but difficult to know which to plump for!

Where in London are you trying to get to?
Assume it's from Stadium rather than arena?

ChocHotolate · 24/09/2025 16:07

It’s a nightmare. I just followed the crowd and aimed to get a train back towards central London and then work out the rest from there

HesterLee · 24/09/2025 16:10

Wembley Park tube then Jubilee line all the way. Though obviously depends where in London you want to end up.

Catpiece · 24/09/2025 16:12

There are different colour queues. The blue queue is the fast train to Marylebone. There are train staff directing everyone. It’s not a problem.

SingingGoldfinch · 24/09/2025 16:16

Depends where you’re trying to get to. When we went to Oasis in August we needed Jubilee Line so headed to Wembley Park - it was super busy and we queued all the way but it was well organised and mostly kept moving. We were worried as last train was only about 45 mins after end of concert but it was ok in the end. They were giving out announcements advising people to head to one of the other stations to avoid crowds so if you can use Wembley North then you might be better to do that. Enjoy! You’ll have an amazing time!!

SweetPenelope · 24/09/2025 16:19

Wembley Park is nearest and where most people go. It's very crowded so the walk and getting into a tube can take half an hour. They sometimes stop the crowd to give time for the tube station to clear.

MarshaMarshaMarsha · 24/09/2025 18:20

Don’t go, it’ll be horrific. I’ll take your place 🤣🤣 (I’m so jealous!!!!)

It took me an hour to get from the stadium and onto a southbound train at Wembley Park after Lana Dey Rey. Some people jump on a northbound train and switch a station up the line.

Where are you getting to?

frecklejuice · 24/09/2025 18:48

We have booked someone to pick us up, he said he will park about an 8 minute walk away and then apparently it’s quite easy. Could you do something similar and if there are a few of you then you can all club together?

Picoloangel · 24/09/2025 19:16

Thanks all - we are having to get to Kings X. A few years back went to a footie match and got the overground to Marylebone and then the tube onwards. It was a more convoluted route than just getting the tube but quicker overall. It was reasonably straightforward but it was not so much of an event as Oasis is going to be.

I am very tempted by a taxi - it’ll be costly but the thought of being home in under an hour is lovely. I have heard some nightmares though if taxis getting caught up in traffic and then you have the double whammy of a long journey home and the expense!

Wembley Park can take ages - I think it was 12.30 before my dd got on a rain after Harry Styles.

Wembley Central is a bit of a walk but we got on a train with a 2/3 minute wait for one to pull in.

you could get Bakerloo line from there - I think it was maybe 25 minutes walk but not many people so you didn’t get stuck in queues.

Nopayrise · 24/09/2025 19:31

If you look online there is a route to walk to the station that goes around and avoids the main queue

Ellopal · 24/09/2025 19:33

If it makes you feel any better we went to Coldplay a few weeks ago, and it was so well organised. We were on a tube from Wembley Park within about 15 minutes after the concert finishing (and we stayed at the concert right till the end)

nomas · 24/09/2025 19:35

We usually drive and park up 2 or 3 stops away from Wembley Park.

Getting to King’s X might not be too bad - I was heading south and all my connections had finished by the time I got even vaguely close, so DH had to come and pick me up. But it won’t take as long for you, you’ll probably be OK.

Uber it… you can even prebook them.

Depending on if there’s seats left and where you’re going book a coach. Event coaches go from the pink car park- you can avoid the crowds.

Or get a bus from the high st up the road and get to a different quieter tube station 🙂

intrepidpanda · 24/09/2025 20:57

Wembly park. Looks mental but actually flows really well.
You will be about an hour.

Picoloangel · 25/09/2025 06:53

Thanks all for your replies. I worded this badly - I didn’t need advice on which line to get for KX as I lived in London for many years, I was after tips from any recent Wembley goers for the quickest line as there are 3 options. I suppose that will potentially vary from night to night. There are some good tips on here though so thank you all for your responses.
