Any dentists around?

Hi
Years ago I had my left upper tooth out (4th from back.) I had a maryland bridge fitted which was attached to the teeth either side. A couple months ago dentist removed the part connected to my back tooth as it was failing so now the false tooth is just attached the my tooth further along, its attached with silver wrapped around this tooth.
I have been paranoid ever since this had happened that its going to break and fall out. If I hold it between my fingers it moves very very slightly. Sometimes when I press on it with my finger or bite down there's a weird feeling like its touching the gum above.
Can anyone advise me further please? i have a check up in November

I’m not much help because when that happened to me I lost all the teeth holding the bridge therefore lost 3 teeth overnight and had to have implants. The dentist I saw said he would never do bridges as they damage healthy teeth . On the plus I’m so glad I had implants they are expensive but well worth it

I’m guessing you lost an upper first premolar. And your bridge is a simple canti lever off the canine. This should work fine. At your next appointment your dentist should be able to see if the bond is still sealed( tbf if it’s not, the bridge will usually fall off!) The fact that when you’re pressing you can feel it touching is probably natural movement of the periodontal ligament in the canine and a slight give in the metal attachment. It sounds ok, but without seeing you can never be absolutely sure.
Make sure you’re flossing underneath properly.

Thank you. It's strange that it hasnt bothered me all day today!
Its first premolar yes. Im not brilliant at flossing but will make sure I do that.
I just hate teeth. I had a tooth out few months ago on the upper right (second from back) as had 18 months of problems, filling, crack, then big crack.
Another question, if the bridge falls out will it be painful?
Thanks!

No, you might just be left with some rough cement where the wing was attached to your canine. As it’s just a dimple ‘wing’ attachment it coming off shouldn’t cause you any pain
