Send present directly to Middle East/Dubai

My friend has started working for an airline and based in Middle East and I want to send some Christmas presents to her family.
I’ve heard some companies will ship directly and deliver directly to Dubai/Saudi - this would be so handy rather than posting/shipping things over there.
Does anyone know which companies I can send things to her directly, like Marks and Spencer International - any other ones, or is there anything like DoorDash over there? Has anyone used anything like this?
Any ideas would be very helpful and appreciated

I lived there for years and there was no postal service really. We used a parcel collection arrangement where we had to go to a depot and collect. All a bit of a faff really.
That was years ago though so maybe current residents can advice if UAE now has a postal service.

I really wouldn't attempt to send goods to KSA.
The address system is dubious, and the postal service abysmal. Not sure about Dubai (you realise you are taking about 2 different countries here, yes?).

M&S, Next, John Lewis all used to deliver to KSA.

Wait til they next come to the uk, and spoil them with activities then (suitcase space may already be allocated, and physical presents become as much of a headache as a pleasure)

DH has relations in Dubai. Sent something once via courier but was so tortuous we didn’t repeat the experience. Treat them when they come back.

I can confirm Dubai is the same. My DB lives there and stuff just doesn't arrive! It's the same sending post out as well.

Thank you for your responses.
I’ve made some enquiries and she will be in Doha over the Christmas period.
Is the postage system as tricky there?
Could I send to get directly from Next/John Lewis/M&S?

I use Amazon UAE to send directly. Or Instashop and get flowers/donuts/treats etc. haven’t used M and S but think it could potentially be the very same.

instashop delivered birthday donuts within 30 mins for me - definitely handy for special occasions!

Loads of western stores deliver to the UAE and this would be by far the easiest and cheapest way of getting gifts to your sister.

Marks and Spencers
Boden
Selfridges
Sezane

The other alternative is to ask your sister to sign up to a service called ‘shop and ship’ by Aramex. You post to an address she gives you in the UK and then she would have to pay a (much cheaper) shipping fee to get it to her front door. Personally I would offer to reimburse her for that fee

These are the two methods I use to get things to myself!

Thank you so much.
Do you mind if I ask how you do this practically 🫣 You just order and use their delivery address to send it to them directly?
That is really handy to know about instashop - were you able to order from here and have them delivered? Does instashop only do food orders?

OK, so you are now talking about country 3.
It sounds very much like they move around a lot. I honestly wouldn't order anything with a time critical delivery (so, don't order from the uk if she will be in another location in January) Post can take a long time.

Not if you’re ordering from a website, or even shop and ship. It takes anywhere from next day to 10 days (if shop and ship)

OP, if you order from Amazon order from Amazon.ae not .co.uk
