Ideas for Calm Box to Calm Down

If you've got a Calm Box for your child to help them calm down, what things do you put in it?

My kids had them at school. Mostly sensory things like bits of velvet, textured paper, a favourite teddy, a squeezy stress ball, a Rubik's cube/ fiddle toy.

A big sheet of paper on the wall in a quiet space is good, so they can draw/scribble/write.

Cartons of juice with a straw
Theraputty
Bubble wrap
Bubbles
Audio books.

But
Often to calm.down/ regulate my. Hold.nedds.movement eh running/ jumping
Climbing
Shouting and foot stamping ( if safe to.do so).
Bouncing/ rolling on an exercise ball so sometimes calm kit may include reminders for this eg) don 10 star jumps, running the spot with high knees.

co regulation of safe activities-

trampoline bouncing
rolling on a pilates ball
jumping, stomping, throwing punches (in the air)

pre meltdown possibilities-
eating a piece of ice
eating a slice of lemon
moving air from one side of your mouth to the other

post outburst calming activities-
those slime flip canisters where you tip the slime from one end to the other
sequin stroking cushions where the sequins change directions
clean make up brushes to stroke on face/arms
Weighted blanket and then a tray on top with a simple puzzle
popping fiddle toys
