How long do teething poops last?

My 14 month old is getting her first set of teeth. I know the NHS claims that teething does not cause lose stools. However, literally all the mums I have spoken to have told me that teething caused their baby to have lose stools. The issue is that my daughter has a lot of food intolerances. When she is having a reaction she gets lose stools. However she has been eating her safe foods for a month but been having so many lose stools. On average 10 a day for the past 2 weeks. It has never been this bad and they usually get better after a week or so even if she has reacting to a new food. I'm feeling kind of concerned. At first I blamed the teething because as I mentioned she had been eating her safe foods so that was the only other thing I could point to. I have an appointment in 2 months time with the pediatrician where they will finally be able to do tests and support me in how to manage my daughter's intolerances. But I'm unsure if I need to go AandE and get help sooner. How long did the teething poos last for your little one? Is 2 weeks within the normal range?

I don't think that's necessarily normal but I don't think requires A and E at this point unless concerns of dehydration and she's not herself- get a gp appointment on Monday and they may well ask for a sample to test for anything nasty x

Definitely not A&E, it’s not an emergency.

Talk to a GP or HV if you want, but it doesn’t sound too worrying.

But is there anything else going on? 24 months is very very late for first teeth. DD2 was a late teether and so I looked it up, there can be some medical causes.

Fortunately I think her lose stools have stopped after 3 weeks of hoping they would go away. I was a bit concerned that it could be something else like an infection since this amount of lose stools were outside the norm for her. Thank you for your advice. It calmed me down in the moment.

@Slothey She is 14 months, not 24. She is a late teether too
