Just that really? I can travel in the UK anywhere and have quite catholic tastes….are there websites that send notifications?

Catholic?
If you sign up to ticketmaster or see tickets they will put you on ther mailing list. Same with any venues you like.

PersephoneParlormaid · 20/09/2025 07:46

Go on the venues that you can travel to and look there, or Google specific bands/groups and look for their tour page. You can also go on pages like Ticketmaster and look on there.

Ticket sites (ticket master, see, eventime) send out what's coming up but you have to subscribe- you would have to make an account to buy tickets anyway so its just doing it earlier. Also if you have particular bands you want to see - there's normally something you can register with- often leads to pre sales .

Sign up to Ticketmaster, See Tickets etc, get on venue mailing lists, also mailing lists of your favourite bands and artists. All send emails in advance of tickets going on sale.

There is an app called Songkick that can track your favourite artists or let you know what’s going on locally. It’s great because you can set up alerts to your favourite artists. The alerts can come out a little later than some other routes eg specific venue alerts (only by a day or so).

I use Bandsintown.
You put in bands that you like your location and how far you want to travel.
It will tell you who is playing and where and will also suggest similar artists that you might like.

Why are questioning this. It just means that the op has a wide range of taste.

Catholic means universal, all inclusive.

Op is saying that she likes a wide range of artists.

She is not looking for bands singing Christ, be our light!

Pedallleur · 20/09/2025 08:24

Bandsintown, see tickets, live nation all do notifications. Any venues you like? They do the same.

I have never heard Catholic used in that way. I was raised a Catholic so it sounds odd to me. Thought it was a typo. Learnt something new.

TooManyCupsAndMugs · 20/09/2025 08:29

My Spotify tells me if any artists I listen to are on tour near me.

It is catholic with a small c. It equivalent, but opposite, to people talking about conservative with a small c.

Squirrelblanket · 20/09/2025 09:05

I've never heard catholic being used like that either!

Anyway, on topic. I follow bands/acts I like on social media and usually find out from there. You can do this on Spotify too, and it will tell you if they are playing near you.

SweetPenelope · 20/09/2025 09:07

Ents24 website. You can search by location and set up alerts for your favourite bands.

Countingmyselfluckytoday · 20/09/2025 09:23

Follow all your favourite bands on SM. Any upcoming tours will be on there

Thank you! Definitely catholic with a small ‘c’. I thought it was common usage….and I was taught by nuns.
