He walks like a penguin

For the last few weeks I have noticed a tall, rangy young man out walking in the evenings. He is dressed in normal exercise gear.

He barely swings his arms as he walks and his stride length is borderline mincing for his height. He seems very fit, healthy and well built with no visible injuries. Reminds me of a Seinfeld episode.

Why? There is really no purpose to this post other than why?

Mine too. I worry so much about it because I almost feels it 'outs him' as being 'different' and hope he's never going to be judged for it or ridiculed.

I'm autistic and have a unique gait (among other things). I’m at peace with being judged or ridiculed for my differences because it’s only cunts who do the judging. And my theory is, if you’re that nasty, you’ve got far worse problems than I’ll ever have.

My son walks like that. So did my dad. You sound unpleasant and judgmental op.

It’s a name for the sort of walk that apparantly gay people have. According to homophobes. Think 1970s sitcoms. Mr Whatever his name was from Are You Being Served?

Mr Humphries.

Could be a whole range of reasons. If you saw me, I've been walking "oddly" past year. I've an excruciating pain in my knee and I've had to adjust accordingly when walking. I'm in my 40s and if you saw me, aside from strange walk you wouldn't know.

Why don't you go read a book or something?

This thread makes me and my utterly ridiculous walk (ND person) feel much happier with the kind replies!

I’d have respected the op if she’d returned and said “hands up, yes you’re right, that was judgemental and unpleasant of me”

but instead… shuffled off.

Back to her window no doubt
