Best air fryer for elderly mum

My mum is disabled and can’t bend to the oven anymore. I’ve said an air fryer will be good for her. The kind of things she’d cook would be:
jacket potatoes
fish cakes
fish fingers
salmon
sausages
pie

She has a microwave that needs replacing but uses that for ready meals, milk for hot chocolate, frozen jacket potatoes. I’ve said she could use it for peas, and other vegetables.

She’s not allowed to lift anything heavier than half a kettle of water due to recovering from surgery. She uses a rollator and struggles in the kitchen but now she’s had surgery she might get about better.

I have a ninja 15 in 1 but this isn’t suitable for her as too heavy and she can’t see into it out lift things out. Something with drawers would be better. And simple to operate as she doesn’t cope well with new things.

Any recommendations please?

A small Tefal drawer air fryer would suit I think. Both my sisters have them and are very pleased with them. Like most new things, once your mum has been shown how to cook her favs in it she will be great! #loveairfryers

Agree about the Tefal ones. Some have dials instead of touch buttons which can be simpler too, for setting time and temp.

Instant air fryer oven

I bought this one for my mother. Its just like a mini oven really, simple to use, shelves instead of baskets, easy to clean and lights up so she can see the food cooking easily.

I have one that looks like a mini oven so with a door and shelves. I think it’s easier than one with drawers. It was about £60 from Tesco.

I live on my own and I have a tower one from Argos. I wanted a cheap one as I was convinced I'd never use it, well in fact I didn't want one at all! But I use it about twice a day! And It's been fine despite being cheap. One small drawer that you can take out and clean, not heavy.

I have a Ninja 2 drawer one - 50/50 and use silicone baskets that fit inside and can be put in the dishwasher. It’s very simple to use.

If it broke I would rebuy - that’s the real test of an item.

does she want one?
my dm got a counter top baby belling type oven, wouldnt dream of using an air fryer

My nan has this one and she's mid 90's and has similar parameters to your mum. If my nan can use it okay, anyone can!

Get one with shelves inside instead of drawers as it will feel more like a conventional oven to her. You can also use small metal baking trays inside instead of those wobbly silicone inserts so she'll feel safer using it. I got mine from Lidl centre isle and it's a Tower one.
