Help me with my London list

I moved to London in 2002 with then boyfriend who became husband, couple of DC. I am now divorced from the miserable old sod and realise that there are probably loads of things that I haven't experienced here because life became about him, work, kids, drudge - and I forgot I lived in one of the best cities in the world.

To mark my new freedom, I want to put together a list of must-do things in London for the discerning 52 year old! I have one so far, an evening at Ronnie Scotts. I love music, food, quirky little shops, parks, pottering about, a bit of art.

Any and all ideas very welcome!

When they have something you fancy, Dulwich Picture Gallery is wonderful.

An uber boat ride from Westminster to North Greenwich and then a ride on the cable cars is fun

I’m in a very similar position OP, and like you I’m getting out there and doing all the things.

I’m pretty happy with my own company but I’m also a people person (hopefully not annoyingly so!) and it’s always nice to have a slightly wider social circle when you’re single, so if you fancy company for the odd thing let me know…

Same offer extended to anyone else on the thread in a similar position, we could get a WhatsApp group going where we can share things we’re planning to do anyway and people can join or not join…

I’m off to a festival in Hampstead today so will use the journey time to add to the list…need to get my arse in gear and get out of bed!

I fancied Sky Garden for lunch but can you just walk up (or rather go up the lift!)? There are no entry only tickets left for my date and trying to book the restuarnt seem to put a hold on my card and give them a lot of my details which i'd rather not.

I used to work at St Katharine Docks next to the Tower of London. Great for a wander and gawping at the yachts of the super rich 😆
my walk to work was from London Bridge station, past HMS Belfast and over Tower Bridge, lovely walk except when the bridge went up to let a clipper through and made me late! I miss it x
Definitely worth a trip OP.
