Is Roadman culture spreading in the UK?

So I live in a town in Scotland, on my way home I spotted a group of guys dressed in the typical London "Roadman" outfit of black trainers, black tracksuits, bodywarmers and balaclava's then further up the street a few more came down the pavement on electric bikes shouting at me to get out of their way. I'm used to seeing neds hanging about and these are likely the same lads but it looks like they are trying to emulate look and vibe of London's "roadmen". I will admit the balaclava's are a bit intimidating.

Is this a think now, is the influence of the "roadman" and I guess Drill Music spreading in the UK?

I see them when I visit a friend in Bristol. Balaclava, black puffa, hood up, head to toe black clothing on either a tiny bike (?) or a flock of them dodging through traffic on electric bikes. They must have sweated like pigs all summer.

I live in a pretty unremarkable area not near London and roadmen have been a thing for at least a decade, maybe more. I would have said if anything they are on their way out, I'm surprised they've only just become a thing in Scotland

DS and the rest of his middle class, private school mates went through a period of playing roadmen about Y10. Thankfully by Y11 they realised how ridiculous they looked and started dressing normally.

DS got over it pretty sharpish when we came across a ‘real’ roadman in the bank in Lewisham 🤣
