What's the answer? I don't actually know 🤨

warm is to hot, as chilly is to cold. Isn't it?

Well, I think that's exactly the point/where I was heading with my thinking... warm simply isn't close to hot or cold, it's halfway in between. Neither hot, nor cold.

...Appreciate there are scales of warm, though... but my general argument/thinking still stands 🤣

Tepid
Lukewarm
Warm (average)
Sam/Warmer
Hotter/even warmer
Hot

Why don't we have words such as tepid and luke warm for the hotter end of the scale... or have I drawn a mind blank? 🤔

I'd say chilly is cold.

Cool is akin to warm ?

I think your baked beans have been warmed up but are not necessarily warm.

Surely “hot” isn’t at the top of of the scale. What about piping hot and scorchio, hmm?

If I'm warm, I'd take some clothes off. If I'm hot, I'd try even harder to cool down.

If I'm cold, I'd put clothes on (or snuggle up to Sam and Luke which are fabulous cat names, btw).

So warm is closer to hot.
