How many kids do you have if you are a woman earning over 80k a year?

Just wondering after a colleague said women who earn high salaries tend not to have children or to have an only child. I’m not sure I agree I actually see that pattern amongst colleagues although it would make sense.

Those saying they are single parents would be interested to know whether that is single parent with no support/involvement from the other parent or single parent where the other parent has DC half the week.

I have a DH who works long inflexible hours. So advancing my career would be much easier if DC away at Dad’s half the week. (Not that I would want that though for numerous other reasons)

One but would have had more if I’d been able to. Nothing at all to do with my job or salary. My peers have a mix of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4.
My boss has several and is one of the top female CEOs in UK.

Two. Single parent

3 and £210k. And permanently exhausted

1 - circa £250k. Had DS when I was on £40k (with responsibilities to match!) and honestly I wouldn’t have another - or had one at all if DS hadn’t come along! 😏

None.

Most inspirational manager on that salary equivalent (although it’s a few years ago) I ever worked for had seven children.

2 and 2 step kids. I have noted that most of the women above me only have one child , one maternity leave out of the workplace.

first child I had at 27, second child I had when I was 32. I’m a solicitor.
