What are these marks on my daughter?

Hi all,

caught DD scratching her head last night. She started crying with pain and saw a big gaping wound in her head. She's now woken up and covered in a rash down one side of the body as well as this wound.
shes teary and uncomfortable, no temperature.

She is being seen today so I have already sought medical attention. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? She's 4. No allergies, no pets.

the rash is on the nape of her neck, back, arm and foot.

it disappears under a glass

thanks!

so, the GP has no clue!
said the mark in her head looks fungal so have cream. Can't make any comment on the flat red dots though and basically sent us on our way! Will ask the chemist for sure

Head looked like impetigo to me, and the other patches could be unrelated or could be the start of fresh patches. I hope she feels better soon, OP.

I get patches on my head like that when I’m allergic to a shampoo/conditioner. Could potentially cause the neck rash as well?

Has she been swimming? Could be fungal. My DD gets a lot of rashes from swimming.

Another vote for scalp psoriasis for the second pic. The spots will be something different though.

Hope you do find an answer soon

We came home from 2 weeks in Cyprus last more than but that was at the beginning of the month. I'll mention this to the doctor, thank you!

I thought same & it can present in early stages as per the spots but obvs after a while if so.

If you've just been in Cyprus I would seriously consider bed bugs. Unfortunately they are very good at hiding so you will struggle to find anything until the infestation is a bit more established.

(That's for the spots, the wound on the head is probably totally unrelated)

It looks like ringworm to me
