Hobby group seems confused about what inclusivity means

My friend received a Whatsapp message from her hobby club in the whole group chat telling her off for wearing a 'The Lord is my Shepherd' Tshirt with cartoon sheep to the hobby club. The same group that reprimanded her for displaying her Christian faith seems to have no issue with their website proudly showcasing a Muslim woman wearing a hijab.

I'm struggling to understand the double standard here. Have we lost sight of what inclusivity truly means? Shouldn't all faiths be celebrated and respected equally? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.

She's fizzing and won't let it drop. How would you tackle it?

What were the reasons given for them to take dislike to the wearing of the t shirt

Tbh, I would get her to reply to the whole group chat and say just that.

E.g, "I understood this to be an inclusive group. My t-shirt does display my faith, but I am in no way ramming down anyone's throats. It's just my choice of clothing, like the woman wearing the hijab on the group's website, which I also have no issue with".

Or words to that effect. Providing she wasn't actively trying to convert people or being in their faves about it, I don't see the issue.

She'll probably find that this has come from one or 2 people, and doesn't reflect the whole group.
