Anyone else feel knackered after sorting out kitchen in morning?!

Lighthearted but I keep thinking this and wondered if it’s just me!
I’ve been up about 1h 30m after good night’s sleep. Have cooked breakfast for 2 (Dh working til 12 so will have his later) & a cold breakfast for 1. Emptied and reloaded dishwasher, wiped down sink, sides and floor, wiped hall floor, 1 load of washing out and 1 on. Up and down stairs several times with washing etc.
I now feel knackered and have had to come for a lie down before I get dressed 😅
Theres so much to do in the morning before we’ve started the day - me and dd still need to get dressed etc, make beds yet. At least it’s the weekend!

Yeah I think it can be overwhelming sometimes all the repetitive jobs that need doing in the house. I feel like all I ever do is empty the bloody dishwasher 🤣
I’ve taken to listening to podcasts or an audiobook while I potter about doing the mundane tasks and it definitely helps.

Thats a busy morning. Do you need to do all that? Ive been awake since 7, but not rushed about at all.

Also this, i listen to audiobooks and happen to do a few jobs at the same time. It helps me see it as a nice thing (the book) as the main activity and the horse as something I absentmindedly do while enjoying myself.

I’m still lying in bed with a coffee contemplating sorting the kitchen. The cooker needs a deep clean which can be tedious.

Surely you don't do a cooked breakfast every day?

It's hard when DC are young. Mine are older now and get their own breakfast. I'm in bed with a coffee. I will need to unload the dishwasher and put a load of laundry on later, but it can wait. It gets better!

Thankyou!
Argh the dishwasher! It is my most hated job I think. To be fair I usually leave that to DH at weekends but obviously he’s not here to do it when at work - it feels like it takes ages to unload / reload but in reality it’s usually only about 5 mins 😅
I always have the radio on in the morning but have been thinking maybe finding some good podcasts to distract from the tasks at hand would help.

i probably need to slow down a bit as I probably rush to get everything done as feel like I can’t get on with day, get dd sorted out - she’s only 6. I crave slow mornings 😅

Thankyou - I must admit I feel a lot less tired after the morning routine if dd has stayed o/night with grandparents. She’s only 6 and we are usually awake by 6.45 weekends.

I was feeling smug because I fed the birds AND got the washing - just a small wash - on the line before breakfast but your busy morning puts me to shame OP.

Actually, breakfast is my main meal of the day. I don't mind preparing it, thoroughly enjoy eating it, but hate the washing up afterwards. It involves a porridge pan. I know the sensible thing to do is leave the pan to soak for a while but I hate to see it sitting there unwashed.
I've never used a dishwasher. When I moved to my present home there was an almost brand new one in the kitchen but I got rid of it because I didn't see the point in it when I live alone.

Hell no! 😅
Weekdays don’t have time as school run then work (but sometimes feel I’ve done a day already after morning routine then school run!)
We do also go out for breakfast at weekends sometimes which helps.

Yup …… and again at tea time. And weekends at lunch time too.
