Hi, I have lots of long car journeys coming up and looking for a way to stream audiobooks. I’ve been under the impression that if I subscribed to Amazon audible I would be able to listen to as many books as I wanted, but it seems to be limited or one or two a month depending on subscription. Is that correct? Thanks

Yes, you get one book a month. However they often do deals where you can buy extra credits. One credit = one book.
if you have a library account you can get books on BorrowBox or Libby for free.

Yes. Depending on the package you've purchased. It's most likely 1 credit (audiobook) per month.

Join your local library. They will have either BorrowBox or Libby. That's unlimited, but you will have to wait your turn for popular titles. That's free.

Spotify also have audiobooks but it's limited to a certain number of hours per month. If your book is longer hand the allowance you need to wait until it resets the following month to carry on.

The standard package is one book a month.

You get all of the plus catalogue for free though. There's loads of books on there and they swap them out fairly frequently.

As above, you can only buy one book a month with your credit, but you can download lots of others for free from the plus catalogue, which changes regularly. And some of the books you can buy are v long - large unabridged books that last for 25+ hours, or sometimes collections eg entire Sherlock Holmes etc counts as one book.

Give it a try and see how you get on. There are also loads through library sources but I’ve found they have a fraction of the choice of audible, so if you’re picky about what you want to listen to, Audible is a good place.

If you have Amazon music subscription then you get one free per month with that now too. If you then have audible subscription as well, you have one per month depending on your subscription plus the catalogue of freebies.

So I get two now. Plus they often do 2 for 1 deals.

My best advice as an avid audible listener is always use the samples first because I just can't get on with lots of narrators. You can return books if you can't get into one, too.

I do it so I get all my credits in a lump

I agree with @Mumteedum to my surprise, I can’t listen to Rory Kinnear narrating Anthony Horowitz’s Hawthorne series. Also look at BBC Sounds. There’s lots of drama series on there and one episode will automatically play the next

Thank you for this, I didn’t know. I have audible and amazon music so will make use of this. 😊
